So, I got a 2016 with 10k miles on it. It started squealing and has a squeaking chirp noise for a few seconds when accelerating from a complete stop. The noise will go away after a few seconds. It will be a constant squeal going up a very steep hill. The noise happens after driving for at least 20 minutes. Took it to the dealer.

Week one: adjusted the belt. Not fixed
Week two: replaced high pressure fuel pump. Not fixed
Week three: replaced driver side front body mount. Still not fixed.

Going back in on Wednesday. Anyone had a problem like this?

Glad it's still under warrantee. But don't appreciate not having the use of my truck on my days off.

Sorry for your troubles. Have they checked the rear brakes or leaf springs. Leaning toward rear brakes though

No, but I'll mention it when I take the truck in. Looking for any information I can tell them to try to fix the problem.

I was thinking the same thing. Just trying to narrow it down.

My rear brakes squeal after coming to a stop and barely releasing the brake pedal. I know there have been several reports about warped rear brake rotors.

I had a warped rear drum but it didn’t really squeal on me, more of a wha wha wha down the highway and some vibration braking.

    Today's update.

Lead mechanic determines that the noise is coming from drive shaft. And needs to replace leaf springs.

Work will be done by tomorrow. Drive shaft will include new u joint. Leaf springs also being replaced.

    Hope this works.

Hope that fixes your issue! I've never heard of a driveshaft making a noise like that, keep us posted! Can't believe it needs new leafs at 10k miles. Glad its all warranty!

    Final update. Hopefully.

Leaf springs were not the problem. Mechanic said he heard a clunk going over bumps. I never heard or mentioned it. But he replaced it.

The invoice said that there was excessive clearance. Whatever that means. So, the entire drive shaft assembly was replaced and a TAS # was created. Don't know what TAS# is.

Bottom line. Been driving since Thursday and no more noise.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
