I hated that job. Getting the old ball joints out of the spindle was a pain in the ass.

Might as well install aftermarket UCAs at this point.

I never leave my truck in gear for that reason lol. I hate when i let someone barrow my truck and when i get in i find it in gear. I usally always give the shifter a shack before i start the truck

I always park mine with e brake and in gear. But mine can actually start itself pretty well in gear haha. Recently I've just been using the trans because my kings are in the way of a brake cable

I usually put it into Neutral before I start it, but for some weird reason I didn't this time.

I'll have to look into that. I did semi-recently replace the tensioner for it so I could have knocked it loose I suppose

my e break works just fine for me, I usally try to avoid parking on steep hills though. But that being said I think its time to readjust the cable because its starting to slip if the hill is steep enough so i have to leave it in gear recently on anything to steep.

A guy at work today told me he just noticed that his parking break was on and I asked when the last time he remembers using it was and he told me easily 6 months ago

Not a chance it still works properly lol. I hardly ever use mine. I used to drive dump trucks when I worked as a laborer and I had the breaks blow out on it coming up to an intersection and I went to use the e-brake and nothing was there, someone had clearly driven with it stuck on at some point lol. Luckily I was able to get through the intersection without plowing threw someones prius

My last truck had a busted switch for that so the light was laways one. Never bothered fixing it, this one works and I have yet to drive with it on.

My dad is really bad at that to the point where the parking break doesn’t actually do anything then he has to readjust it lol. He is like 54 and is getting forgetful now so guess its ok

Yup! The kit came with all 3 lines. Hope they are rubberized like the set you got instead of exposed stainless steel.

BTW I'm still on my orininal rear shoes and i can lock 'em up if I panic stomp. I never carry weight in the back. I think I'm on my third set of pads up front... my last set of OEM pads went 10 years.

Thinking on rebuilding my rear end. How strong are the axle shafts in our trucks? Thinking about upgrading them with chromoly shafts. When I get around to the rear ARB locker with 4.56 gears
