Jalopnik is garbage right now IMO. It's lacking any interesting content for the most part. Torch just likes weird stuff which gets old after awhile, too many political cross-posts, ads and whatnot. Even if I agree with the political stuff, I don't need to see it on a car site as I've been actively avoiding politics to try and keep the brain matter stuck in my head. Some of the Tempest stuff is interesting but I don't really have time to listen to podcasts.

Same here. I'd put my mortgage through my CC if I could. I put all the monthly bills and whatnot on there. That's an amazing amount of stuff you've gotten, what card do you use? I've got an AmEx which is good for points, but with the wife being a teacher the weeks during the year she can travel costs triple. I've got a mortgage, car payments for the truck and Jeep (reasonably small) a 0% furniture loan and the wife's graduate loans. Everything else is paid. I'm trying to slam down the truck, but the small human is costing me too much.

I used to have a Subaru card that gave me 3% in Subaru Bucks. The local dealer took them and let me buy aftermarket parts. I got my AccessPort for $270, Cobb downpipe for $10, AEM UEGO for free and a ton of labor for nearly nothing.

Jalopnik has gone full overboard on the politics and I don't read it much anymore because of that. Between the rediculously forced feminisim of that Alana chick and the non-stop Trump bashing, on a site that should have NOTHING to do with politics is insane. Especially when you read their "hot takes" and realize they have no fucking clue what they are talking about.

Anyone know a good car site that sticks to cars, but allows comments? I read road and track too, but there aren't any comments. I really think comments are half the fun of a website, which is why I keep going back to jalopnik, even if I think the commenters are idiots, there are some good ones every once and awhile.

I have a Chase Freedom Unlimited, wife has the same card. We legit use it for everything but the mortgage and never carry a balance. And like you, if I could, I would.

Morning all. I agree with you all on Jalopnik, over the last few years it has mostly just devolved into clickbait and garbage.

Yes, but with James May at the wheel? Probably a more even match.

I have the same card. Got it the beginning of the year, actually. I'm up to $398 in cash back so far. Kind of want a Citi Double Cash, but I don't want another inquiry and new account. My Bean card is being changed to a Citi card, so I'm wondering if when that happens I can get Citi to convert it. I don't really use it otherwise.

Double cash is amazing. I use that for everything except Amazon and discover it for 5% categories

I picked the Chase because I had heard Citi is stingy with limits. I had a friend get one and it definitely seemed that way too. I think they gave him $4k. At that point I'd need to pay it off more than once a month to keep the utilization percent low and I didn't want to deal with having to keep that in mind.

I haven't had any issues with that, I think it's around 11k. Honestly not sure

My Chase card is $10k, I think, which is plenty. I was concerned that a friend with similar credit history only got $4k through Citi.

My Bean card is $11 or $12, so if I can get Citi to convert that, it'd be perfect.

I also enjoy reading the comments, sometimes more than the article lol. I peruse car and driver as well but no one utilizes the comment section.

That thing is awesome looking! If I could tow my sled trailer and boat with it I would probably have one myself.

Any word yet on what the Wrangler pickup will be rated for? I think the regular Wranglers are down around 2500-3000lbs, right?

No matter what they are rated for it's not enough wheelbase to pull my loaded V-nose in the snow. And I don't think I'd do the Wrangler pickup, it's the short Wrangler that appeals to me most.
