Just like that dang breather mod.
I ran the hitch WITH aftermarket bumper, though.
    Mystery solved!

Back to my menial job I go! Hooray!

Wow, that got you guys going this morning! And yes, as we have established, you can’t mount an OEM bumper on a truck that cane with a tow package from the factory without the hitch installed. And I’m hindsight I really wish I had known this before I removed it but oh well, at least I have my dad’s extra car to drive this week.

And I’m still debating over what to paint on the hitch as a top coat before it goes back on the truck... I’m leaning towards a standard semi-flat or satin Rustoleum or a light coat of the bedliner. I don’t off road the truck weekly and I’m rarely towing anything. My main objective is to make the tow hitch look as close to new as possible and to protect it for as long as I possibly can.

    Head unit. That's it.

Just use a good self etching primer and a few coats of matte black, or hell, plastidip it. With your use, it shouldn't rub off any.

Ahhh...bidfta. There is so much crap, but there are some real deals too. A large amount of stuff is returned items that have some issues with them.

I have found that Broadwell has a lot of stuff rolling through that location.

SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.

In the midst of 3 swim meets, 4th of July Fireworks, City Swim Championships, 2 major Golf tournaments, and our annual business meeting at work. June/July are off the list for just about anything other than a single day event. Not to mention I hate camping when it's hot.

And we already did. (2 weeks ago) Wasn't an "excuse". They're called REASON'S when it's legit. Where were you Junior? You could have gone with us. We would have taken it easy on you.

Plus, going again THIS Saturday if a couple people can get away from work long enough. . You might want to miss this one. We'll be on that hill you and your sister fear so much!

If we don't go to RRG this Saturday, will be on our way to Interlake (Indiana) with another group from up North. This'll be the last weekend I have until last weekend of July when all this shit at work is over.

BTW....Last weekend of July or 1st weekend of August, we MAY be going 2 day or 3 day trip to Prentice-Cooper in East Tennessee. Mild trails from what I hear, but INCREDIBLE sights. Anyone welcome to tag along.

This weekend is an orfw ride in slade. Are you going with them, Bill? We put alot of work into cleaning up trails down there a few weekends back. Also, let me know which bypass you take when you get to the closed part of walker creek, may come in handy for our meet. I know which way Chris and I went but it was a little sketchy.

Oh, and for the love of God, upload some Moab pics! :annoyed:

The plan is to go with ORFW if either one of a couple people I know get off work. If they don't go, I'm hooking up with a group from Northern Indiana to meet at Interlake. Just not sure yet. We tend to be kinda spontaneous....rather than the 12 month out planning every little detail sort of thing.... Probably won't know for certain until tomorrow afternoon. I'll be tracking our route at RRG if/when we go. Now have mapping program on my Surface! Wanna be like the cool kids!

Moab pics are in circulation amongst those of us who went. Once we all see all the pictures, I'm planning on a post detailing the entire trip. One of the people who went is VERY recognizable and VERY private. Another is a public person too, albeit less "private". We all agreed to keep pictures to ourselves until we had a chance to review them.

    Bill wheels with the Donald.

Seriously, I can't imagine any public official from Kentucky would have an issue with people seeing them on an offroading trip. It would probably get them more cred, if anything.
