Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum. I have been on Yotatech since 2006 and just finally picked up a 1st gen Tacoma. I have been trying to get one of these for a very long time and finally scored a 1 owner yesterday.

Its a 2004 Double cab 4wd Trd. I will have to see about pictures. I used to use Photobucket all the time but after they went crazy I am not sure what to use.

Looking forward to trying out this forum.

Cool. My family is from Franklin County, but I grew up in Morgantown, WV; 70 miles south of P-Burgh.

Are you anywhere near Ford City? My college roommate is from there.

Here it is the day I bought it.

    https://flic.kr/p/JjpMNR

I have since removed the browning emblems and repainted the fuel door

I also ripped Into the e-locker. It was all crusted up and not working. The housing crumbled In my hands when I was taking it off.

Luckily I found another one a few states away. Hopefully I will have it back in a few days.

Solid score man, got the e-locker as well. Also north of pittsburgh. I would like to find a 1st gen single cab 4 cyl, but anything decent is stupid money. Someday I too will find the right buy.

Awesome! Where at north of the city?

They are definitely hard to find. I’ve had quite a few of these things in the last 20 years. I really miss my old 85 4Runner

I am near Clarion, but about 30 minutes closer to you. I actually would like a late 80's early 90's pickup. I've had a few and loved every one. I am actually looking at a pre '94 4runner. I don't know much about them, but it isn't is terrible shape body wise, the interior is imaculate. The guy selling is never home, and there is 0 information on the 4-sale sign. As long as he doesn't think it is gold, I would like to make it my DD. Then I could just let my current truck sit and wait for mods!

I guess I missed your location in the info.

Very nice that there are people close. I lived in Iowa for 8 years and had a good network of Toyota buddies there were 5 of us that lived within an hour of each other. We always helped each other out.

I teach Automotive for a living. So I have access to a shop and tons of tools.

I’ve built a few Toyota’s over the years and used to have a whole cache of parts. But gave most of them away when I moved back. I need to start the collection again now!
