Big Mac's last meet up

Hey y'all! As any of y'all who hang out in the N.E. B.S. Thread know, I'm moving down to Nashville in late July. I've really enjoyed my time here getting to know all you wonderful NETW folks, so I'd love to organize a meet up before I go.

I'm open to ideas/suggestions on location/activities. I'd like there to be food/drinks involved, so I'll work that. It would also be great if y'all buy all my furniture!

The two weekends I have in mind are either July 6th weekend or July 20th weekend. I'm open to anywhere from the Star Market parking lot near my place in Cambridge/Somerville, to somewhere in Maine.

I'm hoping y'all will have some good ideas, or even a place we can use!

 

Finalized Game Plan:

FINALIZED Location: Foxboro! (Stadium lot 41 off Washington St)

FINALIZED Date: July 7th @ 11am!

FINALIZED Food: Tailgating! With fast food as a backup.

I'll be having some sort of drinking night/going away party on the 20th that all y'all are welcome to! If you can't make the 7th, come into Somerville/Boston on the 20th!

Well I do have a place in Maine but not big enough or enough parking for everyone lol

 

Right that'll be the hardest thing to sort out! We could mob my local Stop and Shop, which has a liquor store with a beer fridge, but I wonder how Cambridge PD would feel. Maybe Rob @mach1man001 can work his magic again...

 

Furniture, eh?

 

Literally everything except my bed and my desk. I'm talking dresser, couch, coffee table, multiple shelves, desk chair, futon, pantry, more shelves, and maybe even a booth-style dining set!

Plus some assorted truck parts, model trains, electronics, etc!

Everything must go! PM me for info/pictures or wait for me to post it all up in a for sale thread and maybe miss out!

 

I would recommend Foxboro for a meet up. Plenty of parking at Gillette and a couple decent restaurants to eat at.

I think MA is a good place to have it, seems central to everyone that could go. Just my $.02. I'm willing to drive wherever though!

 

I vote foxboro, the gillete lot is perfect

 

If I can make it, I'd like to put some faces to names! Foxboro gets my vote. I can't park the land yacht in Boston

 

I'll be on the Vineyard July 6th weekend for 4th festivities but, would 100% keep the 20th weekend open. Foxboro is a little more out of the way for a good chunk of people especially those from West MA, NH, Boston; but, as said would be the easiest place to handle a huge group.

Lots of bars/restaraunts there at Patriot Place: Bar Louie, Howl @ the moon(w/Bowling), Scorpion(?), etc. Could probably put in a reservation or something if it gets big

Now just time to wait

 

I think that would be cool but maybe more of in front of Bass Pro or maybe that smaller lot near the Christmas Tree Shops. When we did it so close to the stadium they freaked out if we popped the hoods or went under the trucks.

Another option may be in the Taunton area and we could do a little bit of wheeling afterwards???

I will be in NH the weekend of the 20th for a work thing. But if the weekend of the 6th I'll be down!

 

I should clarify... the act of putting the truck into a parking spot is not the issue. I can parallel park just fine. The issue is finding a parking spot big enough or a parking garage with a high enough clearance.

 

I won't be around the 20th either
