16s look good on our trucks and are pretty easy to find tires for. 15s would be cool to but I think the tire selection is less. Especially when you look at anything from 33's and bigger

+1 for 16s! Definitely complement size of our trucks well. If you have any plans for big brake upgrade, 16 (vs 15) are necessary.

I don't forget it on now but in the winter when it's cold and snowy I forget to not put it on and in the morning it's frozen on and I have to reach under and beat shit with a wrench to break it loose again.

If you think tires in 15s are hard to come by you should see 18s and 33x12s or 12.5s

But 15s are easy to find in c load

When i was selling my truck, some dude asked if i had upgraded my front axles. (CVs). Is their an option? Same for the rear? I thought oem was the best way to go

For the CVs you can get a pair of lotus ones but there $500. But I'll be going LT so tundra CVs in the front I go lol. And I haven't heard someone blowing those up yet. Hell Monte hasn't had any problems with his on Frank to my knowledge. And that's saying something lol.

I know very little about these axles on our trucks which is why I'm asking. My brothers bronco 2 has Dana 30s? I think he said and he snapped 2 of those already

I bent an axle shaft. Only hear of them breaking with very big tires, and at that point, you'd already have blow up the diff too.

unless youre running 37s+ with an agressive skinny pedal, not necessary IMO. Ive hardly ever seen anyone break a rear axle shaft, the one that did was a heavy 2nd gen but im pretty sure there were other issues afoot there. If anything goes your R&P will sheer before your shafts do.

youll be fine. just be smart and understand when you can and cannot "let 'er eat" as we say. You could be spinning all 4 tires, lurch sidways and one tire bites then boom, you just blew a diff. it can happen fast with that power.

I normally stop as soon as I lose traction depending on what I'm driving on to. Snow ice and mud I keep going. Rocks and other hard surfaces I stop

No problem I can't remember where you can get those lotus cvs but there not worth it. Way to expensive

Get 16's as they look just as good as 15s but can fit the Tundra brakes. 17s are a little too big for our tiny trucks if you ask me

Yea but wonder what they'll look like if you have 35's on 17 rims. Especially LT with the fiberglass fenders it might look ok but I'll prefer 16's for the bigger side walls

go for it. They can bend. Mine are. Couple others on here have bent shafts too. Shear? Not likely, the diff will nuke before they break most likely.

Id for sure ditch the 18s. 15s will be much cheaper tires and you can get C load which is much better suited for our little trucks. 16s will mostly be load E which is a bit too stiff IMO for our trucks. But you can fit tundra brakes with 16s.

Plenty of tire choices in 15s.

Have the spline number for me? Is it 29? I have e rated tires and I like them but for our trucks we just need some weight lol
