Have any of y’all seen any studies that show lifestyle tendencies for people who are fat vs fit?
I have my own opinions formed by my interactions with various people but talking to someone tonight she seemed shocked that if there were two women standing side by side who were identical other than one was fat and one was fit I would likely talk to the fit one based on perceived personality differences.

 

Plenty of them exist. Check out Google Scholar. If you are a student your university probably has a login you can use to access complete copies of most of the articles.

Obviously lifestyle is different. I’m interested in people who are fit because I’d really rather not bury my spouse years before I need too lol. Although fitness isn’t a total hint to being healthy. We were just talking about making refined carbs higher in protien.... which is fine but you eat that shit all the time heart disease will probably take you early. I don’t have time for that even if they do look hot naked because they are fit.

Plus one is typically attracted to those people just like them. If you gym you may want an SO who gyms.

Not only is there the health aspect but I have also noticed fit people tend to be more driven with more defined goals.

 

Fit people tend to be wealthier and have higher education as well as come from families with the same.

Income and education are social determinants of health that impact ones likelyhood to prioritize health and fitness.

That’s why you tend to see that trend.

The senario you set up with the two girls, Those girls aren’t likely to be identical in every way but their body fat percentage and gym habits.
The fit girl is more likely to have a college education, be above the poverty line, have access to health care, live in a safe zip code, own her own home, less likely to have criminal history etc.

Health is incredibly dependent on social factors.

Look up “Social Determinants of Health” in Google Scholar or any other research database. You’ll find a ton of info.

Dr. Michael Marmot has a good paper “The Solid Facts” that outlines SDH and how deep rooted they are in society.

The Whitehall study is a very iconic study for social factors and health too.

 

I base those off the measurements given by his caliper. We measure in about 10 areas (with a real caliper not that plastic thing lol) and he has a program he types it into and it calculates off that. Lighting in the bathroom is junk and upon waking I am much leaner. I have already eaten 3x in that photo.

Also, my abs and my love handles are the last place to lose weight. It's AWEFUL

Just need to clear up this fucking acne from when I was 13 lmao. Ran isotretinoin last year but had some complications... Better now and going to Dr. tomorrow to get another script for it. Might actually be first time in my life I'll be pretty much acne free. it's such a disgust and annoyance and it fucks with my mind and my insecurities unfortunately.

 

Well stop juicin and your acne will clear right up man.

 

I'd probably be 1 giant pimple if I juiced lmao my god. Maybe then I'd be first at something.. world's largest pimple!
