Rog. I knew LALO is different from Stat line and separated between conventional forces and SOF types, but I didn't realize opening the chute yourself is basically the only difference besides the increased risk of cratering.

I scuffed the plastic with 400 grit, used clear adhesion primer from duplicolor and followed the directions on the cans for recoating. Paint and clear were also duplicolor. I still need to buff it out with rubbing compound. I post pics when it's done.

Yeah, I'm not even sure how I ended up that far back, but I saw it and said to myself, I've jumped at what seemed like a scary low altitude, then did some digging and I was in the stratosphere compared to those guys.

I'm running 255/85R16 Cooper ST/Maxx on a 2" OME lift and SPC UCAs set at with recommended caster (I think its 2 degrees), and a Headstrong 3 leaf AAL in the back. I only needed to trim my front mud flaps a little to stop all rubbing. No trimming in the rear needed.

Since trimming the front mudflaps, (and a tiny corner of the flare behind the flap), i have not been able to make it rub. Granted, i have not tried to climb rocks with it yet (wheels only have about 1k miles on them). No issues on dirt road/potholes/curbs while at full turn. I'm not saying it couldnt happen, but i havent been able to make them rub anymore.

What Randy has done with the cmc is actually far from destroying and necessary for what he wants to achieve. @EatSleepTacos cut back the face then removed the completely unnecessary end piece and plated it with 3/16 I suppose which is far more substantial than what is removed. Crap I cut even more on mine I believe

Plates and boxed with 3/16 and stronger than stock
In the cut off picture I actually ended up cutting all the way back to the frame

No CMC. But I guess i should also mention that i do run 1.25" spidertraxx spacers, but i dont think that affected it too much. The 255's are just barely wider than the stock 245's, so the arc that the tires make during turning isnt as large as the 285s.

If you are running 285's, skinnys should fit no prob.

yeah, at full lock, the gap between the cab mount and the tire is pretty small. I had the spacers on before the lift/new tires, so i didnt get pics of the 255s at full lock without the spacers.

Take out your spring. Cycle the suspension lock to lock and you'll find out where you rub.

When you run big tires that could have shitty consequences.

That seems like effort city. Plus i dont have a spring compressor. I dont always off road, but when I do, I drive pot hole laden dirt roads.

You don't need a spring compressor to remove the assy. Not a ton of effort either. I can disassemble my front end in about 30 minutes. It's like undoing 10 things including lugnuts :D
