So, ball park figure; what's it cost to re-gear with 35's?

Sure, I got one of those. But I'd rather know going in vs. closing my eyes and handing it over.

Cheapest way would be to buy pre assembled clam shells from ECGS and installing it your self...that's what I'm planning on doing. I think for 2nd Gen cost was 1200 dollars or so. Unless you want to install front locker as well then it goes up by 800 or 900.

Since your going 35’s and 4:88 you might as well go in balls deep and budget in a LT kit. :D

It all depends on the battle I'm having with the IRS regarding 2014. The assholes kept my 2016 refund, both Fed and State, to the tune of $14,000+ to cover what they said I owe for 2014. Fuckers are dragging their feet because they're happy. It's up to me to prove them wrong, which they are, but getting them to actually look at the data is insane. Assholes.

$1200 for the front ($400 is a refundable core charge). New bearings, solid spacer, and needle bearing upgrade included

Roughly $500 for rear ring, pinion, and master install kit. About $300 for a shop to install if you bring em the third.

I’ll let you decide which rubbers fit you best ;)

Per my list [pretty recent] for front and rear gears / air lockers plus the OBA set up (thanks Rob) you're looking at $3,790.15 without shipping, tax, or labor if you plan to have another shop install.

If you pick you 3rd members up from ECGS soon we can install yours first so we can learn how to do it better on mine.

    Haven't looked into 35's yet....

Already have a locker in the rear. Does that go away with the regear? Or is the word on the street that an air locker is better? I was told that the e-locker that toyota puts in is pretty good.

Stick with your elocker. No need for that to change unless you plan on going “extreme”.

    ...too much shit to list.
Specific to the rear, e-locker or ARB, each have their own set of different pros and cons. Personally I hated my e-locker. HATED. Finicky little bastard and only works in 4low unless you do anytime mod.

That said, you cannot put an 3rd member with ARB air locker (Tundra/8.4/Sport 3rd member) in an e-locker housing. You can go the other way around, but it isn't plug and play. The Sport/8.4 3rd is definitely stronger though. The 3rd has the supporting bearing truss, the carrier bearings are shimmed instead of screw in adjusters. The pinion shaft is larger, the bearings are slightly lager. The ring gear has 12 bolts instead of 10. But it's still just a 8" ring gear.

These motherfuckers that think they are so smart taking away headphone jacks on smartphones, but then the goddamn adapter dongle doesn't work. :annoyed:

Yeah, that's what they are trying to make people buy, but I also like my headphones not being battery powered
