I have a 07 Tacoma 4 door. I already have 33s on it with 20 inch wheels and a 3 inch leveling kit, but it scrubs real bad. I’m about to buy a lift, and i found a 4 inch and a 6 inch for the same price. Which one should i get. I want to clear the 33s but i don’t want to go too big and have too much space between the tires and truck itself

    - the offset on your wheels could be incorrect.

The offset should be listed on the backside of the wheel

    Is your truck 2wd?

Btw a taller lift will only really help you clear larger tires at a static stance, if you use your truck off-road your rubbing will still exist. Since your on 20's im gonna assume it doesnt see much dirt.

But If you do wanna clear when your flexing you should look into doing the cab mount chop and seeing what offset your at like the above user mentioned. Wheel spacers may also be an option.

If your 2wd I'd say go big and go for 6"... if your 4wd it is my opinion it might be better to go no higher than 3"... but many people do enjoy their DB lifts. So do what you desire.

And what they're trying to infer is you might not have to buy a bigger lift if your wheels have the correct offset. Just because your buddies wheels bolted up and didn't rub going in a straight line on flat ground, doesn't mean those Z71 wheels are correctly backspaced/offset for your Taco.

Plenty of people here run 33" tires on a 3" lift, most required trimming to not rub. If you want to go bigger lift, go for it. It's your truck, your money, you have to live with it and drive it. Buy what you like, not what others think would look best.

That being said, since you asked: 6" lift

33s with a 3” lift here. No rubbing and I haven’t had to CMC yet.

might as well go 6 inch cause raising it another inch is going to do squat.

The lift wont solve your issue of running the wrong wheel fitment and tire size.

But adding 4" to your current leveling kit will have you in a first class mallcrawler category.

    Enjoy!

you should stay at 3” or under for 4x4 due to cv angles.

    A "mall crawler"

It's typical of people on here thinking any lift over 3" will render your truck unable to hit a trail.

Do a 3" suspension lift and a 1" body lift and call it done.

Best bang for the buck unless you want to chop the crossmember of your truck and weld in a new lift bracket (which has been done plenty of times)
