Let us know what you find out. I would expect pics by now as well. Makes me think delivery will be pushed out until August, but hope I’m wrong. I’m not doubting this guy is legit but this is ridiculous. If I didn’t buy my tires in April when the wheels were originally supposed to be ready after delays, i’d be out.

They are waiting on the certificate from JWA. But they passed the strength tests so as soon as Volk receives that certificate then they can go into production. Hopefully sooner than later but no real way to tell an ETA. Price will stay the same as first negotiated even though MSRP for the rims have gone up. We will still have the option for center caps and lugs when orders arive and are finalized. That’s all I got as far as an update goes. Chuck was cool about it, I’m sure he gets hit up constantly about when these will be here.

 

Hahaha. When I was at Toyotafest over the weekend, I hung around the Rays booth. For the total of maybe 20 minutes throughout the day, all I would hear is questions about when will 17’s be available.

 

That must have been cool! Feeling a little jelly though wish I could have gone. Was that down in Cali or something?
Guess I feel lucky I got my name on some because they will be very popular from the sound of it.

Figure shipping is via ocean (can't imagine airing in 25 sets of wheels) so on water time is minimum 3-4 weeks. That is one factor that is unavoidable.
So add a month from today and you get July and that is unless they ship tomorrow. They haven't even begun production. August is a distinct reality, if all goes according to plan, more time if something goes wrong.

LOL! Ain’t that th truth! It started out as a Xmas gift for 2017, then..ok, birthday gift for April..guess we will miss Father’s Day too.
Seriously tho, we’re talking about Ray’s who is, in my opinion in the Top 3 for wheel manufacturing worldwide and producing a wheel for the lineup that that has made them well known for so long and we’re still waiting for JWL approval and no pics 7 months later is absurd. Just stating my opinion here as I think any other vendor would be ridiculed at this point. Sorry, maybe I’m just venting but it is what it is.

 

This is bureaucratic red tape time frame.

Rays is making what is possibly the BEST 17" wheel for this platform ever!
