It's not all it's cracked up to be been a best man, assistant flower girl (to my daughter), groomsman etc. Only 2 of the many weddings I've been in have lasted so far. It gets awkward when you are the best man in the same person's weddings and have to give the speech in each one.

The .243 is much closer ballistically. Even though the .260 is the same dia bullet. The 6.5 creed can be loaded hotter and reach higher velocities like the .243. Also the creed when developed was optimized for use in gas guns then adapted to bolt buns where the .260 was developed for bolt guns then just adapted to the gas guns. There are a bunch of cartridges in the so called wildcat realm off the .308 that became commercially successful. The 6.5 creed was developed straight for commercialization and based off the .30 TC which was based off the .308. All are great cartridges. But you really want to get crazy with the 6mm go for something like the 6.5-284 norma or the 6.5 Rem Magnum those are smoking fast and extremely accurate but are a long action cartridges. I would just keep your eye on the 6 & 7 mm land I have a feeling some guys and bullet manufacturers are going to be going after the crazy ULR stuff that the .375 and .416 cheytacs are achieving but in a much more manageable platform and cartridge.
