    ByeM3.jpg NewTaco.jpg Hi Tacoma World,

New Yota owner and forum member here but have been stalking the threads for some time prior to my purchase. In efforts to simplify my life and reduce the amount of business I give to my (excellent) attorney, I made the decision to trade in my beloved e92 M3 for a new 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road today. While I was sad to see her go I'm excited for the new Taco. Just wanted to say thanks for the knowledge I have and will continue to gain from this fantastic community. Sorry, thread subject for attention :)

P.S. How the hell do you add photos to this forum?

    Cheers,

    Kevin

i totaled my well modified R32 and got a 6MT Tacoma cus i needed to slow down.

didn't work. well, I'm slower now but having a lot more fun. this truck is the most fun vehicle I've ever owned, and the best part is you can hoon at the limit all over the place and still be legal. the chassis is absolutely fantastic if you set it up right for how you drive. you can never take a sports car to the fun zone and be legal and safe. going to the Tacoma is the best move i ever made and it's overrated the fun, not to mention utility, in my life. took a bit of setup tho..

    welcome to TW btw.

Same boat as you. Sold my E46 IR slicktop 6 speed M3 and bought the taco. Zero regrets and soooooo much cheaper to maintain! Welcome!

Glad I'm not alone with the need for speed! Thanks for the advice on photos. Looks like the admins on my work PC blocked the scripts :)

Welcome! I got both a Taco and an M3! 95 M3 Hellrot over Rain M cloth. And a 07 6 speed taco. It’s a good combo. Luckily the m3 has been fairly cheap to own. D50C493B-E2FC-4372-9A7D-D9A724D32CB2.jpg7E340BB1-210C-4D66-AC83-529FFF9C5FDF.jpg

No KB but I did come damn close last weekend.

e30saam, I can assure you that the e90 series was quite expensive to maintain. I ended up breaking a valve spring and the repair bill was north of $8k!!! Albeit a serious douche-mobile, I could have bought an old cheap Miata to make a dedicated track car with money left over for mods.

that's nuts. those cars are great if you can just throw money at them. i personally find the DIY/mod mobile a lot more fulfilling.

still dreaming about a M2 tho!

So very true. Like to turn my own wrenches as well so that's a big risk on those cars.

They are going to cease production on the m2...for an m2 competition with the m3/power plant!!!

Welcome. Coming from a vehicle with no turn signals to one with is a huge upgrade in my opinion.
