Being at work, I had no gun. I made sure he didnt get away and no one got hurt. Outside of my door and another persons door, I have to try to feel ok about it. Im not necessarily saying I do feel ok, but Im trying.

I don't think a gun would be a good option, I think you handled the situation perfectly. Unless you are 18 or have some shitty job I don't think it would be worth it for you to be arrested as well sticking up for your truck.

Running up and trying to fight him could have ended with a knife in your side. Drugs are shitty and the area of CO you live in is a perfect breeding ground for that type.

This stuff happens all the time. I have seen non-meth users damage people cars just because they were jealous of something they couldn't afford..

Im looking everywhere for a picture. Since he went to the hospital first, there was no mugshot on the police report.

Despite my previous quote, in all seriousness, if nobody dies it's a great day for all. It's real easy to type about killing someone but I can't imagine what life would be like after the fact, even if the person deserved it.

Right, not pretending to be some kind of internet cowboy, I just know I would be severely pissed and not thinking clearly.

And now knowing that he did have a needle in his pocket, I feel a little better about not letting it get worse than it did. The report said he had needle marks on "all areas of exposed skin including hands, arms and neck". I guy that has been using needles that long, there is no telling what is stuck to that needle.

Wasn't directed at anyone personally. I would probably fly off in an uncontrollable rage but since I'm not in that position at the moment and instead sitting on my couch with a cold beer I can think of more important things in life. This is not always the case though.

I have a CCW, and it seems like it is almost necessary to have one these days. I would not be using it unless my life is in imminent lethal danger. I am an IT tech and sometimes I do jobs that have me alone at the end of a shift and walking out of a building with a laptop and tech tools, I am an easy target. One time I was leaving a job site and there was a bus stop accross the parking lot, and a dude with a hoodie on a bmx bike decided to ride right up to me next to the front doors to check his phone, all sketch like. I was like "nope" and went back inside the building and locked the door. He left, after a few minutes.

    "INSURANCE PAY 3,266.61"
My mistake. It was actually $0.20 cheaper than that.
