I find it appalling how many people on this thread wish serious physical injury or death on someone because they A. Do an illicit drug or B. Over a damaged truck.

I would be pissed if my truck got damaged but not so much so I’d shoot someone or beat them, or wish police brutality (which is unacceptable in a society as wealthy and sophisticated as ours).

It’s just a truck. Carry quality insurance and do the best you can with your situation.

People matter most in this world. I feel bad for the Meth user whos life was set in a direction that led him to being an addict and pitty that he lives in a society that has zero empathy to help him.

Count your blessings, be humble and kind.

No wonder we now have middle schoolers pulling guns on fellow students and teachers in this country now. They log onto the internet and read about how a person deserves to get beat and shot for damaging a truck.

While your thoughts are appreciated, I do not necessarily think that they have much merit based on the connotation of the conversation. I think the frustration toward an individual that would choose to do illicit drugs is based on the fact the damage they do is not only to themselves. I have plenty of vices that some people in some places would probably not approve of. I like to sit on the couch after work almost every night and have a beer to relax. Sometimes six or eight. I may even choose to enjoy some fine herb while I am doing so to further induce relaxation. But none of my habits affect anyone else.

The frustration, and therefore comments regarding causing this person harm, were based on the scenario in which he were causing harm to a person. I agree with you that they dont deserve to be shot just for damaging my truck. But make no mistake about it, if I had walked outside during this and he had come at me aggressively, and I had had a gun, the end result of the afternoon would have been drastically different. I would have never felt the need to shoot the man over the damage. But I would not have hesitated in the least bit to shoot if he intended to cause harm to either myself, or any of my coworkers.

Do I have empathy for this person? No. He is the one that chooses to put that needle in his arm, and hands, and neck, and who knows where else. Noone made him do that and he does not deserve special treatment for doing so. If you go to another persons property and act the way this man acted, you deserve to have to deal with the consequences. Not get a freeby because youre a meth head and mommy didnt hold your hand long enough as a kid.

Now, I did not have any intentions of this conversation going in the bs political direction that you have now decided to take it. So, if the thread gets taken over by politics and bs that is obviously just not going to do anything but piss people off, I will delete it.

I wouldnt shoot or beat..... but cmon at least a nice hard punch to the face is a minimal they deserve. I think even old timers with a more modest temper could agree with that

    I didn’t make it political...

The title is litterally “don’t do meth”

This started out as a political thread.

I’m not going to add insult to injury with getting myself arrested for assault ontop of a damaged truck (then I lose my job).
    The guy isn’t worth it.

Also probably don’t want to pick a fight with someone doped out on who knows what (OP is assuming meth but might not be).
I don’t need to be in worse shape than my truck over the incident either.

I take a Martin Luther King stance. Let people lie in the beds they make. When you try to retaliate too much you look like the bad guy and then face consequences for that.

The guy is a drug addict... his life probably isn’t the best... My door is just damaged...
Who wod you rather be? You or him? Lol

    "Just a truck".

    Poor addict.

Ever stop to think about the OP's situation? Maybe he came from a poor background and worked and saved a long time for his vehicle? Maybe it's the first nice vehicle he's ever owned?

But, gee, we need to worry about the loser drug addicts feelings and well being.

That nonsense is why society is failing. Catering to the perpetrator instead of the victim.

There is nothing political about saying, "Dont do meth".

You must have missed the part where I said I would only act in defense of myself or my coworkers.

OP isnt assuming anything as the police report indicated that he had needle marks on "all areas of exposed skin including hands, arms and neck". He also had a needle in his left pocket and 4.8 grams of meth in his right pocket.

Read the whole thread before you go assuming that I am assuming things.
Me, because I kept the cooler head and didnt do all the things that you are ridiculing me for doing. I did nothing but keep myself and my people safe and make sure he didnt get away. My truck will be back in my possession by next week. I feel like I won the day.

I did speed once. went skating all night and learned half-cab frontside tailslides. Only thing I took from that night was the tailslide.
