talking about the metal part of the bed side right at the corner of where the bed side stiffer is (metal part of the bed side where the 2 10mm bolt go the hold your tail light )

if that make any sense i can take a pic when i get home

 

This metal part at the back of the bed where the bed transitions from the composite shell to the metal. This is a super common prob.

Yeah I knew it was a common thing, just thought it was more associated with adding weight/ accessories to the tailgate and that area. My stock bedsides came apart at the top of the actual bedside when I had my original tire gate design bolted to the bed. Second design fixed that since I didn't want to fuck up the new fiberglass. Now this design doesn't connect to the bed at all. Worst case I can fab up a couple of those supports real quick if it becomes an issue

 

I want my pile painted.

I think the frame and composite bed flex so much that it will happen on any truck that is being rode hard and put away wet. My tailgate gap is fubar’d too

Don't hate me for asking but why extended rod ends? IIRC you are going with a short course style 4-link, so in theory wouldn't a normal rod end work for mounting straight to the differential?

 

If he is going to have tabs off the front of the axle he would need extended rod ends to ensure that the coil seat cleared at all articulated angles.
