Thank you, I had missed that--in real life, without a flux capacitor, it's 228 mph...

And, do the same for the radiator and bottom of the engine bay? Could just fill the whole thing with expanding foam?

I made mine functional, I linked a post on the second page. It works great and engine doesn't get any dirtier.

Cus its a Sport. You're good. I think OR cabs smell of leather bound books and rich mahogany.

A pregnant wife who’s sense of smell has become a million times sensitive than a sharks? Haven’t experienced it yet? One day you will. Try it. I personally wouldn’t.
Amidst the jokes rises a legitimate solution/suggestion, thank your sir! Now we’re talking!

I'm new here....that will become painfully obvious as I write more posts....

I see that tons of TW members make tons of mods to their Tacoma's. Many of them are for looks only. Only the hood scoop seems to generate animosity between some TW people. No other cosmetic mods seem to rise to that level.

Why does the hood scoop trigger this behavior?

I wouldn’t call it animosity, just busting each other chops. The sport and pro people have them, and most other trim levels want them. Simple as that.

    For me its this:

In my neck of the woods, a TRD Sport package and a TRD OR package cost roughly the same amount. The OR rides smoother and gives you a rear elocker. The sport gives you a stiffer suspension (why do I need a sporty road truck that can corner slightly better than a plusher riding OR?) and a hood scoop. So, in my mind, if you're gonna spend the extra dollars, why not get the more practical offroad truck upgrades rather than the cosmetic?

As a newbie, I was going to buy an SR5. The dealer couldn't locate one in my color anywhere close enough to trade. They did have this TRD OR DCSB in my color and they proceeded to lower their price to where I couldn't say no. My 5 hour negotiation ended with my first ever TACO. I didn't even know what a TRD version was until that day. So.....now about 5 weeks later I have learned a lot about this machine and the differences in the models. I do prefer all the equipment in the Off Road version, but the hood scoop does look better in my opinion. I may just buy a new hood....but I have never physically (cosmetically) modified any vehicle ever (I've had over 30 vehicles), and it is hard for me to justify the cost for a cosmetic improvement.

I did buy the Shift Sense Pro V2 and installed it 4 days ago. I love this device!

The scoop looks cool from a distance, but up close you see it's cheap flimsy plastic. What can be done to firm it up?
