I can't wait to get towing with the 6.2l. I don't think it'll scream as much as the 5.0l did, but can't wait to hear those low engine notes when giving it the beans through the VT mountains.

From the reviews I've seen on TFL Truck it almost sounds like an industrial engine. Going up the Ike it's less of a roar and more of a grumble. Not as much as the 6.4 Hemi, but definitely not a small block.
Of course, that's also sound that's filtered through a mike, digitally compressed, and spit out of the cheap speakers on my laptop, so I'm sure it's no indicator of what it sounds like in real life

When I was reading this I thought you were saying that the f250 has exhaust noise played through the speakers like they do in sports cars nowadays. I am glad I was wrong!

Every once in a while. Usually just for mounting/ balancing tires. Every once in a blue moon when it's too cold for me to change my oil.

Mostly take the wife's t4r there cause you have to damn the entire front of the car of to get to that stupid bottom mounted oil filter cartridge

Definitely not. The new cabin is actually much quieter than my F150 was. I'm not sure if it's better insulated or if the 6.2 is a smoother running engine but the F250 is surprisingly quiet in the cab, even at high RPMs.

I like the way you think

I usually go one set further and go for the Tom Collins.

Those give me heartburn. I like gin and vodka tonics though, quite a bit!

I've been on a Dixie Cooler (cheating and using Tito's) kick lately, so I can't really say too much. I've got a bottle of tonic water ready to go, but I just haven't opened it yet. :notsure:

If you see this in your travels, give it a shot. It's really wonderful gin. Middlebury, VT.

The trick is to mix it in a rocks glass rather than a collins glass. That way you tend to mix heavier on the gin and lighter on the tonic. And you need to use a good tonic water that way, too, or else it won't stand up to the gin. Not Schweppes or something like that; Fever Tree does a really good tonic water, & there's another brand, too, that's very good but I can't remember what it's called at the moment. They're both more $$ than the cheap stuff, but they're worth it if you're mixing them with decent gin.

Edit- Q tonic, that's the name of the other one!

they just sent out their massive mailer with the $16.25 oil change that still costs $40....you know because it covers 5q of oil and a tacoma takes 5.5 so you have to buy 1 Q from them for like $15...and then pay the extra disposal fee..they never stop f#@%ng you....

Cool! I go up to VT quite a bit so I'll look around for it!

BTW, how is your leg doing? Gonna start riding soon? (if you haven't already!)

I have a pretty heavy hand. I went a little too hard last year doing Captain Morgan Black and Dr.Pepper 50/50 with no ice. I haven't tried it with decent tonic water, I'll have to get some!

I would guess that's only because they're using sour mix rather than making them the right way. If it's a fancier bar that will actually make the drink correctly, I don't have issues with heartburn. If the bartender is under the age of 50 (or if it's a crowded bar), I generally won't order that drink.
