I have two for concealed carry. A Springfield XDm (18+1) and a S&W Shield 8+1), both in 9mm. Lotta good advice already posted. Go to your LGS, see what fits your hands, what is comfortable to to carry. If you can rent, buy the one YOU shoot well. I should quantify that with as long as it's one of the more reputable brands. One thing I didn't see mentioned is what ammo. FMJ is NOT a defensive round. Both my carry guns are loaded with Federal 124gr HST's. I did a lot of research before I settled on that round. According to tests on Luckygunners website, it averages around 18" penetration, while expanding to almost 2x its original diameter, while maintaining almost 100% integrity.

I have pretty big hands so the G19 and 43 are kinda my limit. Well the glock 19 fits like a glove that why I love it. I have shot a buddies p10c cz and it is basically a g19 made by CZ overbuilt with a better trigger.

I didn’t want to read thru 5 pages - and I can’t tell you what firearm to get, but I did want to say good on you sir for getting your CCW.

Always be safe, and NEVER assume other adults are educated about firearms.

I usually carry a Ruger SR9C but recently bought a Taurus G2c9MM to keep in the truck - decent gun for $207 brand new - console works fine.

Gotcha so any idea yet on what you want? Being a petite female a .380 might be a wise choice. The people who say they are not power is BS. I dropped a 150lb hog at 30 yards with my .380 and hornady defense ammo.

I'm not exactly sure about the size comparison but i do believe that the sig is a single stack that carrys more rounds. Im sure like me you have small hands. Ill see if I can find some specs for you and post them up. Where do carry IWB,pocket, purse?

it's actually a double stack. it carries 10+1. it's slightly smaller than my lc9s, little bit bigger than the lcp2 though. but i think it'll be a better option than the lc9s for carrying. the grip feels great, although if you have bigger hands than me you might not like it. i have a belly band, but the lcp2 is small enough that i can carry iwb depending on my outfit

That P365 is nice and small 9mm, pretty much a pocket gun. I personally like the P320SC since you can convert it from subcompact to compact using the same slide. Sometimes it's nice to have a bigger grip.

There are a lot of good options for conceal these days from .22LR to .45, just depends on what feels best in your hand.

Also I bought a custom IWB holster for my .38 LCR from these guys. They make really good holsters. https://foxx-holsters.myshopify.com/

Glock 26 is a solid choice. I'm deciding between the 26 and the 43 for daily carry, mostly because the 43 is a decent bit thinner and will be easier to carry. Folks aren't so friendly to CCW around here...
Out of state I carry a M&P 40, at least until I get the money for a Glock 19.
