    Hello all,
I'm looking for a stock set of leafs for my 3rd gen Sport... Mine are sagging and causing a vibration problem.
Dealer says... "They all do that..."
Anyone got a take-off set they like to get out of their garage??

They all sit flat unloaded, even new. Doesn't take much weight at all to get them to sag. The dealer is actually correct. You can live with it or get an aftermarket leaf pack. But that would also require longer shocks.

Don't go by the indicator. It's an idiot light and doesn't have any real science behind it. Mine just started shooting all sorts of messages at me because I changed my oil and forgot to reset it. It's just calculating down from the last set point based on usage (idle time, towing, etc). It's not detecting any viscosity changes in the oil or flow rate changes throughout the engine.
If your info is correct, you have a 2 year old truck in which the stock leafs have already failed... why on earth would you want to put another POS set of springs under the truck? In my opinion, Toyota's leaf springs are a joke. You're much better off either with aftermarket, or supplementing the stock leafs with a multi-leaf add-a-leaf. Just my $0.02 :crapstorm:

That's fair, book says for my conditions it should be 7500ish, maybe more depending on their definition of moderately hilly. I double-checked and the numbers it's giving me in the cluster would correspond to about 9000 at this point. Had a little towing that probably brought it down.

    upload_2018-6-8_13-2-18.jpg

I may do the first one at 5000 this weekend, then the others between 7500 and 10000. With the Tacoma, I was generally at 7000-8000. Had an analysis done at 7000 on Mobil1 at one point and Blackstone said they thought I could have easily done 10,000.

I don't think the dealer would do it unless I paid if it hadn't warned me yet and I kind of want to do it at 5000 in case there are break in metals to get rid of.

How many of you have had this happen??? Today coming home I was dead stopped in traffic and I see im my rear view a small hatch type car flying at my and the driver doesn’t realize till the last second her tires squeal she swerves by me into the breakdown lane. It was weird it only took maybe 5 seconds but i feel like i had an hour to think of all the consequences like my totaled vehicle how bad this is gonna hurt and how this is gonna make me miss some work... I’ve never watched someone almost take me out like that and damn was it scary powerless feeling.

Can you imagine being on a bike and seeing that?

People are really aggressive drivers in Boston. I always watch my rear view at stop lights and wonder, when I see people charging up behind me, if and when they are finally going to hit their brakes...
