I know the flare is missing but it's the only one I have recent with the bumper and snorkel.

 

1. Buff and sand it down.
2. Wipe it down with cleaner
3. Primer
4. Wet sand
5. Shoot multiple costs of paint to code.
6. Clear coats, Advantage medium.

 

Love it!!! Debating taking my flares off. I don't see a reason not to honestly.

Other than the holes....will the fender liners stay in without the flare?

 

Here's what I do.

1. Sand
2. Rinse/wipe down
3. Acetone bath
4. Air dry
5. Prime
6. Paint

 

This will work for the black you want

 

Yeah they're above the lip on the body and have tabs holding them in. The front is loose but you'll be cutting it off when you put the bumper on.

Not a fan of the look without the flares personally.

 

Me neither, I pulled my off and went with aftermarket flares. Got a set of factory black ones if anyone needs them

 

On a finished bumper:

1) Wipe with acetone
2) Self Etching primer
3) Spray
4) Flip
5) Spray
6) Cold beer intermixed with all above.
7) Install

 

I like that option better. Not a big fan of bumpers color matched (unless black obviously) Gotta have some contrast in muh lyfe!

 

Or with mine add 3 hours of grinding and sanding prior to all of that. Why? Because I wanted everything smooth as butter after welding it.
