No, of course everyone has to drive like shit in every other conceivable way instead. Knock yourself out.

As long as I’m above 15 mpg I’m happy. Just saying for $32k, I’m super happy with the mpg...if I wanted range or fuel economy I probably would own a different vehicle and take up other hobbies.

Yes, as the spokesperson for everyone on the road: we exist to piss you off.

The question is: what is a person who clearly doesn't care about how many miles he gets per tank doing in this thread and what are you doing behind me in the slow lane?

The truth is, I would get more miles per tank if I didn't consider who is behind me.

You're more right than you think; the 3rd Gen engine took major lessons learned and design cues from the Atkinson-cycle Prius.

That being said, I can reach nigh 440 mile range if I average 21 MPG on my 6MT.

Never done it, but I figure about 600km (380 miles) if I run the tank dry. Most I've gone between fill up is 500km. This is mixed city and highway driving.

    Running E rated 265/75R16 KO2s.

That’s one way of looking at it.

Another way is that there’s a slow lane for a reason, and the dude going 80+ isn’t going to be behind me anyways. He’s going to be in the fast lane. Its amusing that you think I would throw out all common courtesy and hold up an entire interstate highway so I can get better gas mileage. If you ask me, the true assholes on the road are those who are constantly flying down the highway and get all up in your ass because you’re only doing 80 in a 70mph zone and honk their horn and flash their lights at you to speed up so they can pass you.

I think you’re missing the point here and turning this discussion into an opportunity to vent your frustrations with the current generation and drivers on the road.

if you need to rant, start another thread....otherwise quit trolling and post your mpg or miles traveled per tank.

    2018 v6 4wd, 4dr
21.8 mpg, 450-460 miles per tank

My last tank was my best ever. 381 miles and 16.711gal used. Comes out to 22.8mpg. I could have gotten over 450 miles on that tank. I did a lot more highway on that tank though.

I’m usually around 20mpg or 400+ per tank.

Edit: Display always says 355-365 to empty after every fill up which is under 17mpg. Makes no sense since my worst tank average has been 19.4.

Yeah my display does that too. My last tank average MPG says 21 and my lifetime average MPG says 22 and my display always reads 385 miles to empty on fill up. Usually after some driving it’ll level out to what I’m actually getting.

Sounds like a golden goose to me.

Usually fill up on E at 330.

...but my miles to go still starts at 385, go figure. I say it went to 395, and then maybe 415; but, then my <2 year old battery bricked and it's back to 385. It's counts down half as many miles as I drive until it starts matching reality. IOW, after I drive 200 miles it says 285 to empty.

I’m getting close to 40k miles on my 16 DC V6 and on average get 24.5 mpg last tank was 25.6 and when I fill up today I think I’ll beat my displayed best tank which was 26.3. I’ve never gone through a tank and not gotten at least 420 miles on a tank. I drive 110 miles to work round trip. Posted speed limit signs for my drive are 45, 55, 60, 65 so I end up with an avg speed of around 47.

Ah, low speeds..that explains it! I get 20-21 putting around town doing 40-50 but traveling to most of my job locations requires the freeway...meaning 75-85mph = shit mpg!

Drove my truck off the lot with 400 from the dealership. How every time I fill up it’s like 300. Average around 18 mpg
Is it cause of my mpg or just the gas I’m getting?

You have posted speed limits of 85!?! I drive the speed limit. If that’s slow cool. Current tank is at 26.7 mpg I’ll take it
