How are these solid motor mounts when you have a bushing in them?

Thats just the terminology that I have been using for 14 years. The bushing is a hard polyurethane. There is very little flex. These are much more "solid" then the factory squishy rubber mounts.

Happy customer here. This is by far one of the best investments (and admittedly one of the hardest to install) I have ever bought for the truck. Ever.

Got ya. Coming from a racing background and hot rodding for 20+ yrs that is an incorrect terminology for what they are since they are still bushing mounted. You can buy urethane bushings to replace factory bushings in many vehicles. When someone mentions solid mount I immediately think of something like a motor plate or a mount that has no bushing. Just my $.02.

They look like a solid built product and a very readily available urethane bushing that can be replaced if the need arises. Having turned wrenches for decades I don't really think there is an easy motor mount to replace.

Are the 4.7 mounts for a Taco? or just the chassis that come stock with a 4.7?

These bushings will outlive the life of the truck itself. That is the last thing I would worry about.

You are correct. Its just easier to say it this way. And you also know that coming from that background, you would never want to take a stock truck and fully solid mount the drive-train, as that would cause a multitude of issues. You need some amount of flex with a factory, non caged, non-tube chassis vehicle.

That would require having the truck in my garage to design off of. You would need to design a mount thst bolted to the v8 block and then bolted to the tacoma frame. Distances and geometry would be much different than anything OEM. Definitely do-able but there is no stock engine mount to design off of in that situation. Sounds like a cool swap though!
