Took the truck for lunch, A/C works really well ever since it was fixed again... Downside is having it on can get temps up to 206 on the engine sometimes. But having it off it won't go over 190 and usually cruises around 186.

Who needs a hood when you have a sweet supercharger to show off haha.

I think I might just go for one of those fancy radiators that @1997tacomav6 has a thread on, just don't know if my shroud will fit being a 4cyl and all

That's too temporary, you can actually spray water on your rad or ac condenser to increase efficiency

Dry ice and water in the windshield whiper fluid bottle and then just run the hose to your radiator

I've thought about getting one of the official Toyota supercharger emblems for my truck, someone on here was selling them a little while back. In the beginning, I was afraid to advertise it for fear of making my truck more of a target to anyone looking to mess with it or steal it (Tacomas are a commonly stolen vehicle in SoCal), but at this point with all the shit I've got on it...I think it's too late for that.

I was trying to think of a way to make mine less tempting to steal... Hmm can't see the SC, has a dent, mismatched tailgate... Well a buddy gave me some lewd stickers he got at a con (I don't know which one the name was confusing and had puns) maybe if I stick them all over it'll bring down the value haha

haha yeah that could work. I might be a little too paranoid but better that than the other way around IMO. I keep a 30 ft steel cable wrapped around my RTT that loops through my bed rack, spare tire, Hi-Lift and anything else I might leave in my bed....if anyone wants they'll have to take it all or find a way to cut the giant lock or steel cable (both absolutely doable but it wouldn't be easy). Sucks you have to think about that kind of stuff but it is what it is.

Haha, I love that thing. Dude took an inherently low value truck and made it something fun that works for him.

I do have two stickers hidden on my truck I'd be absolutely horrified if anyone recognized.

lol that poor guy...I see him post on the TW Facebook page and he's so proud of his truck but he gets quite a bit of hate...I guess as long as he's happy then more power to him lol. But yeah I don't think anyone would steal it...except maybe a tweaker trying to pull parts off it.

Well the good news is it isn't an immediate concern. My rad right now is only 2 years old, and unlikely to fail. I'll run it until the next shipment is in

At 75mph I'd have no concerns as it goes right back to 186. I have the high temps in stop and go with the AC going whole hog. Hell if I could maintain a steady 35-40mph through town I could stay at 190. The AC just makes stop and go livable for me but hard on the taco.

sounds like a leak to me. Get the system checked for leaks and pressure tested... might just be as simple as getting the freon out, replacing an o-ring, recharge and be on your way.

if it's only cold when you're moving and the temp difference is major, probably a bad fan clutch. Condenser needs airflow to give you any amount of cold air. But don't expect miracles with a belt driven fan while sitting at idle. A bad fan clutch, however, will make the temp discrepancy much more noticeable between moving and not moving.
