went skydiving yesterday and i've gotta say it was hands down the coolest thing i have ever done in my life, i reccommend it to every one haha even my girl friend who is terrified of heights and almost throws up on chair lifts was able to do it.
here's the vid i took from my chest harness GoPro HD camera.

oh ya i doubt i will ever have the same adrenaline rush ever again. we went to lodi parachute center in california and it was really quick. we paid and 5 minutes later were getting strapped up and stuck on the plane and were getting instructions of what to do on the way up lol it was some quick training.

There is NOTHING else as much fun that can be done with clothes on. I did it once years ago. A buddy of mine was taking flying lessons and saw a flyer for it. The flyer said $15 per jump. I thought "COOL, I'll do it several times". Turned out that was if you had your own parachute and packed it yourself.

We did a tandem jump (like you did, I assume). We had to sit through a couple hour training course and sign every right to sue away. Training for a solo jump was several sessions long and included static line training along the way. Maybe it's different now. We caught the last flight of the day. They took us to 13,200 ft (if memory serves). We were supposed to freefall to something like 5000 ft and then deploy the chute. Well, at around 10K or so, he, I, or God pulled the cord.

It was a beautiful 70 degree Septmeber day on the ground, but it was COLD AS **** at 10K feet. We had to alternate holding the steering cords, while the other would warm his hands. It took FOREVER to get down.

I would do it again in 2 seconds. The free fall feeling only lasts for a few seconds, until you reach terminal velocity (120 mph or so).

ya i free fell for a minute from 13,000 to past 5 cause the last time he showed me the meter on his arm it was at 4,000.

are training was a little different, we signed up and paid 100$ and within 5 minutes we were getting a harness thrown on us, and then 10 minutes later we were boarding the plane and still had no instructions of what to do, once we got on the plane he told me keep your head back and knees bent, that was all the training i got and then they threw us out
