Yup, it's old for sure, but I always hear it do its impression of a tornado when I fire the truck up, then it calms down. Never really hear it get loud again but you can feel it moving air for sure, and it makes some noise at idle. I have like no restriction in the front with my open style bumper. I think it's just running the AC, high idle with a constant load plus the temps from the condenser make the radiator get even hotter air than ambient (110 today)

correct. Flushing the fins of gunk, mud, bugs, etc may help.

supposedly it is supposed to spin fairly easily with a cold engine. Then when you turn off the truck after it up to operating temp, it should not free-spin as easily (or at all). @Timmah! did a video on it.. check his youtube for fan cluch replacement on how to diagnose yours

That's neat, only ever seen 4runners with that. The LC has it but that's expected My old 4Runner seats that I had in the taco had manual lumbar.

lol that would be a good place to start.

then again, sometimes leaving it unlocked means they can just take what they want without damaging anything...some people are of that mindset anyhow. I'm more of the mindset of having them set off my alarm so I can come out swinging with my axe.

You have an alarm? Fancy. My cruiser has an alarm but no such wizardry in the Taco.

Cruiser has a goofy one button remote too even though it is the same RS3000 system everyone has in Toyotas up to like 2004.

Just need to keep a high lift by the door and come out swinging with that, so then you have a cooler story to tell all the over land guys

yeah I admittedly got talked into it when I bought my truck through Toyota (only had 24k miles on it so it was being sold on a Toyota lot in 2016).

Got ripped off on the alarm but I'm happy I have it, gives me added peace of mind. Disengages the starter if it's not deactivated so it can't be driven off, would need a flatbed to take the truck.

I have a viper alarm too, went off driving through town last month and it would NOT shut off.
Embarrassing driving down broadway with it screaming, stop at the auto parts store for a dam wire cuter, it’s good now and quite:)

My roommate has one of those goofy things and he asked me to fix his car once but only gave the key so I set it off, unplugged the part that makes noise and let it keep flashing the running lights while I worked haha

Changing the TPS isn't too bad, like a 5min job if you own a screwdriver and like a 45 min job if you only have your teeth.
