Depends on what kind of amperage your planning on pulling off the second batt, 8 or 10ga should be sufficient if your installing the RedArc in the rear by the batt

Awesome build and sweet skills.....very impressive! Write-ups with pictures and explanations on how to do things is what I love about threads like these. Helps people get good ideas and guidance when doing mods on their own trucks. Keep up the good work!

 

Amazing Rig and your wiring is sick. Beautifully finished. I am wondering where specifically you tied into with the TPAM wire for USB charger? I have my das apart but am not keen to slice up wires unless I have a specific target in mind to solder/snap splice into. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I pulled the radio and tied into the power wires behind the factory cig plug. It's a tight fit.

Yep with just minimal mods you can fit the tire in the factory location. There are pics on the process in the build thread

Returned last week from a 1900 mile road trip through Yellowstone, camper and truck performed perfectly. Here's a few pics of the truck in different places along the route, I still need to go through the rest of the pictures of the trip when I get the time.

This past weekend my father and I went to Plain WA for the NW OverLand Rally....Sooooo many cool rigs there! Had a great time and got to meet a lot of great people. Plans were set in motion for an epic adventure while at the rally....More to come on that later Will defiantly be going back next year.

@Hodakaguy I'm enjoying following your progress. I also live in WA, Pierce Co, and I'm curious if local law enforcement has given you any grief over not having a front license plate mounted. I apologize if you have mentioned that elsewhere and I missed it. Thanks.

 

FWIW, I live in Benton Co (same as Hodakaguy) and have had my Pelfrey on for more then a year now and I have not been hassled...

I was wondering how the rally would be and debated on camping...really glad I did as it was really cool. I’m planning on being there next year again .

AWESOME! It’s a whole new truck now! I’m currently running the 91 tune and used it on our trip to Yellowstone and back. The truck pulls soooo much better , throttle response is greatly improved and when you give it just a little gas it actually responds. The trucks should have left the factory this way!

I’m also seeing better MPG numbers with the tune, on our trip my lowest tank was 15 and my best was 20! Several tanks in the 17 range, and that’s all with the camper loaded for the trip, 4.88 gears and the heavy 285 tires. My father is seeing 19+ around town with his truck as well.

I would highly recommend the OV Tune!
