Road trips must suck. I can get 300 out of a tank if I do 55mph. And not a hair over.

Back when my 04 was stock (minus the supercharger) I could get 320 on an all highway trip. Now, I'm lucky to get 250 all highway. Crazy what a few lbs of armor will do. Tires are only a half inch bigger than they were back then.

Yeah when we did our 700 mile round trip to the Sierras a couple weeks ago I filled up 4 times in 2 days (did some offroading there which kills my mpgs).

Edit: 5 times if you count the Jerry cans when we got back. Ffffuuuu...

It was like that for like 5 minutes. Will not full blast like that, slowly building.
Just water and an air bubble from a pressure test. I’m sure youre right though, nothings cheap out there.

Nope not at all, but if they find oil, unless its “proven” grounds so to speak, n they know its there...they will make liquid cash.

Same. Looking at more mild AT options for tires right now. Currently have Duratracs.

Sounds like my story minus the Jerry's. Would love to do 700 miles on one tank.

But you have a 15gal tank in that 5 lug, I believe. Ours are 18.5 gal.

So the previous owner of my truck had these Thule roof towers put on the camper shell. I want to remove them and fab up a roof rack that is more low profile. Only problem is, I dont have a key to unlock the stupid things. Any ideas? One is unlocked. I dont wanna sawzall these things cause I hear they can bring some money to offset the cost of my custom rack.0609181306.jpg

    Pick the lock :notsure:

Try taking it to the Thule dealer or retailer in your area. They may have a bunch of keys.

The skinny pedal is not your friend. I've learned that with these motors.

Order Thule key #N196. It’ll be a positive selling point also.

Don't know about your home units. But in Phx Az 20 degrees below ambient temp would be in the 90's. My unit will blow 70 degree air when it's 110 outside.

It has nothing to do with outside air temp. 20 degrees should be your delta T across your cooling coil. So between intake and discharge temps.

I should of said it as the unit should be able to cool atleast 20 degrees from outside if your home is the same temp inside. But home units dont pull in outside air, they recirculat inside air. So the remp split from going into the coil to comeing out should be like 20 degrees

Im no car a/c expect but I think cars pull outside air so it should be a 20 degree splint from outside air to what’s coming out your vent.

If you don't have the recirc on, yes. I'm probably speaking out of turn. I thought the above post was referring to residential units, which I know about. Cars I don't know.
