If the converters were affected wouldn’t that throw a CEL

76 with cats now. No cel.

 

How did your boost read compared to normal conditions?

 

I wasnt looking at the boost gauge. I was distracted by the transmission feeling like the timing was pulled at about half throttle. I disconnected the battery for 10 min and all is well now.

 

Not always. If the cats are clogged up and not allowing air through it is a toss up on whether or not the CEL would come on.

 

I'm getting my shift kit installed in less than 2 weeks. That will be the time to see if I'm doing tranny damage. It just didnt seem like the tb to me.

 

I'm always in heavy stop and go traffic too. Next thursday I'm having my headers installed. Cats are going to be a storage room ornament

 

I'm thinking it was me holding the airbag button instead of the traction control. I was driving, and haven't used either before. Might be some throttle govenering with the airbags disengaged. I dunno, hope it stays happy. Cats getting clogged is a good call. I would think all the water in the meth might clean them.

 

I'm going to revoke your boost card in a second. The RSCA button does ZERO to affect speed limiting or throttle limiting. The SRS system is not designed slow you down.

 

Grapevine photo. All I know is that it was a stock block, with ~10psi boost. Centrifical blower. Poor engine with twig rods.

No boost card revocation. I was merely backtracking anything I've done differently. I assumed it could be possible for a safety mechanism to affect drivetrain. I'm wrong often and have a wild imagination. Some of my more redeeming qualities

Yeah. Didnt think it was but an electronic safety thing. TB has been great. I'd think an intermittent problem would be more typical.
