They are just their jobs, yes there’s a few bad apples. 99% of police I have encountered are just great people. But you have to realize from their point of view that taking random pictures of houses can be misconstrued as casing. I’ve been stopped walking my dog with a beer in my hand. And I live in the country side. I just dumped the beer out and said thank you and be safe.

The cops weren't unprofessional. It was just a bit traumatizing for a guy with Aspergers, to be stopped and interrogated for 20 minutes.

Now the police not only know I'm harmless but also know who I work for and more or less leave me alone...

I'm just a law-abiding citizen who tends to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and wants to be left alone!

    @El Duderino

The one and only time I got a speeding ticket was 6 years after I got my license. I was doing 43 MPH in a 25 zone at 11:30pm. It was dark out and there was nobody around. This stretch of road is a well-known speed trap. I was not endangering any lives. I was just caught by the stereotypical "bored suburban cop".

There was a Ford Taurus behind me, and I never saw this cop. I came flying down Main Street, windows down and stereo blasting, just having a gay old time.

Cop comes flying out of nowhere in his marked Expedition, and he was WAYYY behind me. The Taurus pulled over and let the cop by, and I had reason to suspect I was being pulled over. I pulled to the side of the road, thinking the cop was heading to a call and would just whiz past. I was absolutely clueless to the fact that I'd been going as fast as I was and didn't think I'd broken any law. When he pulled in behind me, that ruined my night...

    Rewind about five months...

Doylestown Borough cops are notorious for what I like to call "drunk-fishing," and it is really obnoxious.

I was driving home after a beer and a glass of wine in December 2016, and by then I was totally sober. I was driving down the same stretch of road where I would get pulled over, and this cop in a marked Tahoe pulls onto the street directly behind me.

I'm in a good mood, jamming to Meat Loaf, and I notice the cop. He is not just following me, but fucking tailgating me! If this has been just another vehicle, I would have brake-checked them for being so close. This cop stayed on my ass for a good quarter-mile and I was convinced I was about to get pulled over. My headlights were on, my registration was good, and I wasn't driving like I was drunk (because I wasn't), so I don't know what attracted him to me.

Finally, the cop turned right into a residential neighborhood and disappeared.

Long story short, police in Doylestown will get on your ass and follow you until something comes up in their computer or you do something stupid that warrants a traffic stop...

My first words to the cop the first time I got pulled over were "I don't know know why the hell I got pulled over!"

He showed me exactly why he pulled me over and wrote me a $180 ticket, which I would have just paid if that 43 in a 25 didn't mean 4 points on my license. The owner of the bar where I work is a damn good lawyer, so I retained him. Court date finally took place almost three months after the traffic stop. Before my lawyer even arrived, the cop was talking about knocking it down to 5 MPH over, which would have still been a fine but no points on my license. I apologized to the cop for cussing at him, my lawyer and the cop talked to the judge, and my parents paid all the fees with a stern "don't do it again."

I did manage to get pulled over again a second time, about a month before my court date for the first pullover, for making a left on a red at a confusing intersection. I was very polite that time and got off with only a warning...

I’m notorious for speeding tickets. I always thank the officer and shake their hand. In a small town like Doylestown theres nothing better to do at night besides follow drivers around lol. At night by my house it’s 35 coming down this big hill at the bottom sits a cop Thursday through Sunday night from 10pm-3am and nails people all night long for speeding an a dui every now and then. I have a lot of cop friends who I drink with and talk story too. They are all the same when the badge is on the enforce policy. When it’s off they coach little league and stuff. An at of the end day they live in communities they police so they want to make them as safe as realistically possible. In a town like Doylestown which is mostly wealthy conservative folks the cops are bored as hell because most* of the people follow law.

I looked it up there’s about 6k more dems the reps in bucks couldn’t find the number for Doylestown. Too many people leaving philly and upper New Jersey and coming to your neck of the woods.

My area is mostly dems. Makes sense, since we're next to Mexico.

I missed my chance at getting the Tacoma judged, but I still got into the Car Show for Autism!

The actual car show is being held in this sports/recreation building, and management was a bit worried about cars leaking fluids. As such, everyone showing their vehicle had to put a drip mat underneath, which I find rather amusing...
