ABS On A Switch

Had some spare time and wired my abs fuse to a switch. Maybe someone can make a write up with pictures?

In the fuse box under the hood I pulled the "ABS No.2" female fuse/fusible link.

Take a female spade connector and connect it to some 18 gauge wire. This goes to the post nearest the cab (hot post) of the fuse/fusible link. And run the wire through the cab and to your switch.

Now for the cold post in the fuse box connect a female spade connector to about 3" of wire where you will connect a male spade connector. Plug the male spade connector into one side of the fuse/fusible link.

Now take another piece of wire and put a male spade connector on one end and plug it into the other side of the fuse/fusible link. Run the remaining wire into the cab to your switch.

solder/shrink/tape your wires since they will be exposed.

Was wondering why do this. Abs saves lives

 

There are times it doesn't, especially the over active programming in low traction situations like snow or gravel.

 

Ok you have valid argument. Never think of that .
