Can it even be done? I know most people have to take the plastic off the back of the seats. I picked up an Alpine Type S 10", mounting depth required is 6". ********* boxes are 5.5" IIRC. I have a double cab with JBL system so I will probably keep the JBL amp and put the Alpine on the drivers side. Could it be done if I put a .5" ring under the sub mount?

Does anyone have plans for a box like this? I have materials and not alot of money currently so looking for ideas. I got the sub for 25 bucks so I couldn't refuse LoL.

IIRC I made my box 6.5" deep at the bottom and 2.5" at the top. The sub is mounted at the very bottom of the box. I had to rout out a recessed area in the inside of the back of the box so the magnet wouldn't touch the back of the box. Mine is a 10" infinity reference.

oops edit: I also had to cut a portion of the plastic at the bottom of the seat back because the sub was hitting it sometimes.

Don't have dimensions or plans, but SuperCrewSound.com and SoundOffAudio.com both have a box that has a 6" depth option. Might be able to get what you need from the site directly, or send an email and ask how they get a 6" depth.

I'm not sure what year it is, but Alpine's site lists the Type-S as needing less than 4.5"

I recently picked up a new Type-S and am having Mr Marv build a custom enclosure for it. Been several weeks, but I don't mind waiting for quality.
