    I really wanted to run my factory OR wheels, but with 285s I'd have to use spacers. Your setup looks amazing!

    After a few hours or prep and paint, they are finally mounted. Well worth it! I went with satin black instead

    Is your truck lifted??
    That tire size looks like it's one up from OEM at least the height....265/70 vs 265/75
    When mine wear out I'd like to go slight bigger but not mess w the suspension.

    I don't want to Hijack the Ops thread, but this is my Derp.

    Painting like the OP did would last longer than Derp, but if I get scratches, it's very easy to just touch up with more Derp. Pretty well did the same prepping as you would painting.

    Thanks for this info, really appreciate it as I begin to do my wheels on my 2nd gen.
    One question though before I start. Why the choice to go with spray paint and not plasti-dip? I know dipping is the flavor of the week and you always have the option to remove it but once "I go black ill never go back". Just curious about your thoughts on this.

    Paint is more resistant and will last longer as long as you're sure of the color you're using.

    Personally I wanted a glossy factory type finish on the wheels like the TRD Pro wheels. Even with the glossifiers and things, the dip finishes don't nearly get as glossy or smooth as paint does. My wheels look factory painted which is what I wanted.
