Yeah that shit sucked bad....but I finally got them. Drivers side was even harder. My hands are beat to hell but I replaced all 3 of my brake lines with steel ones, rear is extended and brake fluid is bled. Brakes feel better than ever, still need to put the BPV relocation kit on next week though.

Everyone I knows uses HAM radios (including myself) and no one is certified...as long as you stay on the right channels you should be fine. There's a list somewhere on here of the best ones to use. 161.625 (iirc) 'Weatherman' is a common one.

I didn't notice a huge change but for $35 it's peace of mind to know they're fresh and new and these lines are a cheap alternative to the wheelers line for people that wanna do Tundy brakes. I need to do pads and rotors soon anyway so I'll probably notice a change when I've got quality parts in them again.

I posted the same thing when I did my lines lol. Those little fuckers suck! I sprayed enough brake fluid on the driverside that at least it was slippery enough to get off, i had to move it sideways with pliers to get it to move off. Passenger side was much easier, loosed the break line and then pulled the clip then undid it. Brake fluid sucks haha. You’ll like the steelbraided brake lines

I nearly gave up. Finally got the back of a hammer on there with enough leverage to get it to move with all my strength...when it finally popped off though my hand flew into frame with full force and smashed my fingernail and sliced open my finger. I was simultaneously thrilled and in intense pain haha. Like an idiot I had taken my gloves off to get a better grip.

Last time I had popped those clips off was a lot easier because there was no engine in there haha. This time @Kiloyard held a long screwdriver on the edge while I hit it with a hammer from above. Then grabbed and pulled with right angle pliers.

Looks awesome! Did you make the heavy duty cables yourself? That's been the only thing stopping me from getting a fuse block.

Too bad you're in Tucson, I'd make you cables and ship em if you measured it all out for me. Pretty easy job if you have the tools tho.

Yeah feel free to shoot me a pm when you're ready. All I need to know is what gauge cable (I can do different gauges for different runs), length of that cable, and then stud size so I can put on a lug with the right hole size. With my small fuse box and super short run I used 8 gauge wire, but my starter, alternator, body ground and main engine ground are all 2 gauge. Maybe if we're lucky the TW express can come through and deliver haha

    Shitty man.

    interesting.

Shitty deal man. Been there..twice. Sorta 4 times.

Ahem..what do you mean should have? lol more like does have...a lot.

But one just needs to fine the posts from the ever informative @Dirty Pool on this subject to know all there is to know.

Though I have no doubt Dan could do a great write up. He has the time and does the research.

gotcha. Seems a pain, but do able.

Also not super likely..but not unlikely.

Use a screw driver next time to lever the clip upwards by catching the 90º tab on it and it'll spin pointing a bit upwards. Then it pulls right out.

The correct term for those is "Jeezus clip"...as when they fly off, you say "Jeezus! did you see where that went"?
