Do any of you guys have a tactical light mounted on your home defense shotgun? I have a Mossberg 500 with 18 1/2" barrel. I want to mount a light on it and am looking at a Surefire model but damn those things are expensive. Seeing if you guys have other setups that work? I'm limited with rail mounted systems cause I only have a 5 shell magazine tube.

I am actually in the middle of getting my 870 Home Defense set up with a light. I am using a Streamlight Picatinny mount, and am waiting for the CAA quick attach light mount to arrive. The Flashlight I am using is a Coast LEDLENSER T7 (200 Lumens). Hopefully will have it together next weekend.

i just dont like the size of them

theyre convenient enough and have a pressure switch on the fore end of the shotgun but theyre just kind of bulky to me...im used to the stock size fore end of my 590
