Been thinking about possibly selling my 1st gen to buy a 2nd gen for the quad cab and the more horsepower. I figured with what the 1st gens are going for right now I could get into a nice second gen for about 5-6k on top of my truck now. What do you guys think? Am I crazy for wanting to get rid of my truck and what do you guys think my trucks worth? Two testicles?

I’d do it if I could. But my truck wouldn’t bring near what yours would.

Just remember, Mods don’t really add value.

I've thought about it, bit it wouldn't make much sense for me with it only being a secondary vehicle. There is a second gen quad cab going for 7k right now though with slavage title. Clean enough truck, just has AZ paint.

I still don’t know what your truck would be worth.

Maybe compare to other trucks kinda in your area and go from there.

7 thousand is cheap for a quad cab. It’s hard saying what they are worth around here. I’ve seen some of the clean 01-04 first gens under 150k go for up to 15k. I feel like average list price is about 13.5 for one. Mines rust free, 5 speed, v6, extra cab, with a elocker. Coming up on 147k Miles with factory tow package, brake controller, air bags in the rear, front hitch, and aux fuse panel. Plus spray in bed liner and paint matched canopy, factory Toyota alarm

You guys think the 1st gen price will keep staying high like it is or will people realize that they could find a second gen for just a few thousand more pretty soon?

They're different beasts, the value of the Toyota Tacoma ain't going anywhere. Hell just look at the old pickups, things are insane. There's piles of land cruisers older than my own and more expensive than it still haha. Toyotas are weird, they hold their value forvever.

Yeah true. Toyota’s are weird that way. It’s a good thing for selling and a bad thing for buying haha. I just don’t know if I could live with a auto tranny and I don’t think I could get by with the short bed. Why can’t they make a 4 door, longbed, 6 spd, elocker rear end, with paint matched bumpers and a hood scoop?

I thought eating at Subway was the stupidest shit known to man? I don't know why anyone eats there unless they need the calories to make a turd.

My buddy had the longest truck ford made for a while, it was easier to park like this than block half of the driving aisle. But this truck isn't that big. Side note 7.3 diesel with turbo pushing 43psi is a fucking riot

We have a Facebook here called “Uintah Basin Coal Rollers” Pretty ridiculous.

And they park like dicks, and they date highschoolers, and the majority of them don’t even tow anything.
