Have had a bad leak for the past week. Reservoir drains completely every day. Appears to be coming from the passenger side on the fluid transfer hose on the rack. Has anyone replaced just the lines or should I just do the whole rack. Also should i do the bushing upgrade while in at it?

Are your boots filled with fluid? I had to replace mine. It was a pain, but manageable.

No, boots are dry, but I cannot find a source that sells the hoses. I've been reading up on replacement and it definitely looks like a pita, but manageable.

Napa sells replacement hoses, assuming you're talking about the high pressure line and the return that feed into the rack. Toyota sells them as one unit and wants like $250 for them but napa is like $80 a hose. I messed one of mine up during replacement and used a napa, and it's still going strong.

If you do replace the rack, new bushings wouldn't be a bad idea but it's a huge pain. @la0d0g swapped them and it took him forever. I didn't bother doing it, and everything feels fine (though don't have anything to compare to)

No, it's the metal lines that are on the actual rack and pinion. I bought the new return and hp line already thinking it was one of those.

OH I gotcha. Then yeah I have no idea where to source those. I'd just save yourself the hassle then and replace the rack. After core refund it's only a couple hundred bucks for one from Rockauto. That's what I replaced mine with. A-1 cardone, part #262629
