Popcorn brings out the vultures

 

Chance hopped up to join me for a little post-yardwork rest. Apparently, I was his pillow.

 

Happy to say this guy got adopted on his first day at the festival.

 

This photo is a few months old. My son and the dogs came up a couple days after I got out of the hospital. Harvey came in, ran to tell my wife hello and then came over and crawled up in my recliner with me. He laid there as still as he could for a little over and hour before he started acting like himself.

 

This kid fell in the pool today (first time being around one) but instead of running scared she came back to the edge. She swam with us for a solid 20 minutes and knew exactly how to get back to the steps. At 8 weeks she is proving to be an amazing pup and I can't wait to see her shine with more training.

I don’t wanna go to Vet.

 

Sydney will play around outside with my brothers dog, tug on the rope, chase each other.. then BAM, out of know where within a split second she'll dig a 1 foot hole in the grass. If I catch her she'll stop and instantly knows she is wrong. This morning I saw a hole from last night, I looked at it and looked at her.. she put her head down and turned away without me even saying anything. I don't know if she just gets super excited while playing or what.. but it's frustrating because she shreds the grass and flings dirt so bad I can't just fill it like a divot.

 

Ha! I’ve gave up on my yard. It’s one big hole.

 

Throw a little Cayenne pepper in the spot where she's digging. You can cure it pretty quick. They sneeze a few times, but they don't usually go back to the same spot. Doesn't take many times for most dogs unless it's a ratting breed, you might be out of luck, lol.

She's only done it about 3-4 times and always at random spots. I'll give it a try anyway and maybe she'll stay away from doing it more

 

It worked for my last 2 labs. If it rains or the sprinklers run you have to go out and do it again. I think I cured both of their digging habits within a couple weeks by really being on it.

 

Good to know on that. Mines been digging randomly. But this is the second time he has cut the top of his nose (or rubbed it raw) from digging
