Hey guys, as some of you know, I have just bought a new Taco and will be using it everyday for a new job starting in July. I'm still using my F350 daily until that time. I currently carry a go bag with essentials like flashlights, extra batteries, fire starter, small revolver in an ankle holster, a few Bianchi speed strips, migraine meds, first aid kit ect. I also carry a Glock 29 with me. For those of you who carry "go bags" and handguns, how are you positioning them inside the truck? The interior is obviously much smaller than I'm used too in my F350 and was just curious about your particular layout. Are they within reach or stowed away? Are they in the front seat area or behind the passenger seat? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you. Kevin.

There is a subforum on here for firearms or every day carry stuff I think. Check that out I’m sure quite a few guys carry go bags

I actually keep a vest and collapsible 9mm rifle behind my driver side passenger seat. My sidearm is located in the center console oriented for draw with a magnet. Thankfully, I've never had a need for either one.

If you plan to be switching over to the Tacoma I recommend you store the go bag behind the rear seat, if you can get it to fit, and keep the glock in a similar draw position.

I think its best to keep all bags hidden from sight as to not inspire burglars.

Keep it out of sight. A Go-bag is probably not something you’re ever going to use, so get it out of your way, and out of view when your truck is parked somewhere. Behind the rear passenger seat is just about the perfect spot for that type of hardware.

Whatever you decide, Gotta be OUT OF SIGHT!!!

Personally, I never leave a weapon in the truck.

I mounted a g-code incog RTI wheel inside my center console, so all I do is unclip from the RTI wheel and clip it into a waistband holster when I get out of the truck

Yes sir, I don't get into the bag very often, mostly to grab a migraine pill or a flashlight. For that matter, these items could be stored in the console. Also, while researching this topic, I found this holster. I've never seen these before. Does anyone have experience with these? Kevin.

    None at the moment
You can pull the rear seats down to have access to a small storage space in the back of a double cab. Alternatively, there are two compartments under the actual seats, pull the cushions up, turn the dial and open up to the compartments that you can put a few things into, like a go-bag. Don't put anything under the seats as the air conditioning would either suck it up or get blocked by whatever you have down there.

FWIW I have a Hornady pistol rapid safe mounted to a Bracketeer universal mount in front of the drivers seat.
