Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

I have a center console section out of a 99 Tacoma Extra cab that is free to anyone that may want it. I have the metal bracket that goes with it. It is brown in color and the arm rest has a crack in it.

 

Anybody need 2016-2018 mud guards, air dam or trd grill take offs? $50 each just thought I'd let the locals know.

Yes sir I do. All are takeoffs <1 week except the grill which is <5 months. I have two sets of mud guards BTW. What are you interested in?

 

Also, anyone running method wheels with the simulated beadlock ring I have a complete set of zinc bolts and washers that go on the outer ring of all 4 wheels. I swapped them out for silver on an old Tacoma. $50

Looking for some used stock 3rd gen headlights. Don’t need the bulbs. Help is much appreciated

 

Sense when did retrofits become illegal?! Priority toyota and a local shop rejected my truck.... for headlights and led fog lights. "illegal" both places have passed me in the past.... irritated.... who wants to buy some retrofits

Sorry to hear this man...I currently have aftermarket headlights that have the "DOT" approved housing, but cracked them open to fix the retros. I think since mine look like they were manufactured that way it likely helps me in my inspections. You could always get a different housing where the projector modification wouldn't be as pronounced, but fuck having stock lights.

Im normally a Baja Designs guy, but rock the DOT specific rigids so that no one can bitch otherwise. Could you simply try another garage that you trust to get it inspected? You could always just install your stock set to get it installed and then throw back on the retros?

Well fuck...hmm I might need to talk to a buddy of mine who I get my inspections from. Maybe you could swing up north if nothing else?

They failed you for your stock fogs? Not aftermarket or the bulb in them?

Ah so it wasn't the lights them selves it was that you could turn them on with or without the headlights being on.

That's interesting.....I wouldn't think that mattered

 

So I just fixed that issue no problem....its the retrofits that failed me. That's the concern. Why all of a sudden it's an issue

 

Did they just say that your headlights were retros and they failed or said you had an illegal modification?

Once I have the truck inspected I'll ask a bunch of questions. I wanna know exactly why they failed too

 

I had a similar issue today, this damn state. Any recommendations on an inspector from anyone would be appreciated.

 

I use the Firestone on Virginia Beach Blvd near Aragona Blvd. The inspector is a great guy and will help you out as long as the Trooper isn't there
