He might get a little rowdy when you reel up a doormat that takes up half the kayak! :rofl:Make sure everything is leashed or strapped down good!

Now that's thinking ahead! I hate when pups have to be boarded too, I would much rather go to a dog friendly place!

I understand. It's only for a few days though so I'm sure he would be okay boarded if it comes down to that.

OMG I need to get back out on the water. I'm almost completely out of the old place...only things left there are the yak and expo trailer which I'll bring back on trips to clean/patch up the house prior to putting it on the market. Now I just need to get settled in to the new place...but that won't get in my way of fishing like paying two mortgages will! :goingcrazy:

I've been living vicariously through you guys here...

Sorry...you're only borrowing Jeff. He must be returned no later than this weekend or we will be sending a recovery party after him. :quickdraw:

Heading to Ocracoke July 19-22 for another round of camping and fishing.

Oh for sure. last time I went to OI it was a mess with all my broken down rods in the bed so I took my cargo carrier, added some pvc and I have 4 rod holders. Not quite how many I need but it works. I didn't want to spend the big bucks on a dedicated aluminum one when I only drive on the beach 8-10 times a year for fishing. I bet the RTT makes it really convenient to make camp about anywhere to!

Yes it does, and the rack I made with a steel base structure and built the aluminum rack around it and bolted it together. Strong and sturdy.

I used a rod pod when I had my VW 2 door golf. Worked great! I really want some ski racks but have no room on my roof rack with my kayak saddles :( I saw one guy in the 3rd gen section made some roof rack rod holders where they lay flat out of pvc. I could probably squeeze two maybe three rods doing it that way, its on my long list of things to do...:turtleride:

I'm using a bungee system under the soft topper to hold rods. Need to get some pics. My 12 footer sticks 7.feet out the back when spot jumping gets some funny looks.
