Yea I live 8 miles from the closest tower and I literally get 1 bar of signal. The only downside of living out in the woods shit internet and shit cell phone service. But I wouldn't trade it for anything

Wired up the 3rd brake light on the new camper shell. Its pretty weak so I’ll probably be buying a new one next week.

That's how I got the rear brake line c-clip out, worked well. I think I used a different method for all 3, lol. Only part of that job that sucked but it sucked hard, they really put those in an inconvenient place. I think mine were sort of frozen in place too from being on there untouched for 14 years.

Using a mini-screwdriver and hammer worked well to sort of 'chisel' them a bit to break them loose of the dirt and grime that froze them in place, then I had success using the claw on the back of my hammer to pry them out.

Cell towers are everywhere here, except they disguise them as trees.

at least they gave you a palm tree up there...out in the desert not far from here, they "disguise" cell phone towers as forest evergreen trees...they stick out like a sore thumb.

Not sure how much of a difference there is on a v6 (as far as room goes) but on my 2.7 I used a long pry bar and set it on the lip of the clip and did it from above through the engine bay and I gently tapped it with a hammer while wedging a screwdriver underneath the clip so it wouldn't just spin.

I wish I could've gotten a pry bar in there...that's how the guys in the Youtube videos did it on 2nd gens but unfortunately there was next to no room to get anything in there much larger than a pair of pliers...not two inches behind the clip were my headers/engine and then there was no room to get any leverage to push/pull. Had to work my hands in carefully which resulted in some really beat up and torn flesh wounds, lol. But it eventually worked.

Really happy with the results from the steel braided brake lines though, wish I had done it sooner. Braking is noticeably better. Hoping it will improve more with the Trail Gear BPV relocation bracket I got coming in today.

That's hilarious. A luscious bright green tree in the middle of the desert? Ha.

My friend and I always call them out for fun. Like why the fuck is there an evergreen or ponderosa pine in the parking lot of a fucking denny's. Then there will be palm tree ones that look so fake it's just funny.

That could also pertain to the a/f sensor I think....did you use a Denso sensor or some kind of aftermarket brand?

Hopefully it's not related to your cats but I would imagine it has something to do with the sensor since it popped up right after you installed it.

maybe go back in there and get rid of those scotch locks, find the rest of them and throw them all away. seriously they do nothing but cause problems down the road. heat shrink but connectors aren't that much more money and they work really well.

You don't see them very often in SF, mainly because they mount them on top of the tall buildings. The whole top of the Salesforce tower is basically antennas.

Out here in the suburbs though, they are painfully obvious. I know someone who owned a property in the foothills and Verizon wanted to purchase the rights to put a tower on the land. They paid him $100k and gave him free service for life.

Sometimes they don't even bother hiding them. They just paint them the same color as the building it's next to.

Who ever decided to put knock sensors in the intake valley, can kiss my ass! Had to replace #2, decided I'd put the sensor and harness in, unplugged #1 to install said new harness and the fucker broke off at the top..... Well now all my oil leaks are fixed, no cel, some new vacuum hoses. bye bye 600$

Knock sensors are never easy to reach, it's the fact that the harness is made of wire that isn't silicone insulated that is bothersome. Like they know it's going to be thermonuclear hot in there at least insulate the wiring better.

The could have put them on the outside of the block like gm used to do. Dirty bastards....
The plastic housing on top of the knock sensor was so brittle when i touched the connector it just fell off in my hand. I didnt even have a code for #1.
On the other hand, I'm sure i would have after reassembly had it not broken while it was apart. It was living on borrowed time.

Yes I used Denso. I read the horror stories of aftermarket sensors.
    Truck runs like a top.
