Its fun. And gnarly. Took us an hour for the first obstacle, everything is much deeper and more washed out since I ran it two years ago.

I went to Pawnee last year with the wife on a day trip once to do something different. On this trip I vowed to never go east of Denver again. It was one of the most depressing trips we ever made.

Unless you like fracking sites and 18 wheelers doing 60 down service roads throwing massive rocks and running you off the road I don't recommend it. We did see a lot of Pronghorn, but Pronghorn aren't as pretty when they are standing next to Fracking tanks.

The fact that it is the "National Grasslands" is kind of a joke. It is really just a giant commercial fracking operation. I don't recommend the waste of time.

We ended up going to Pingree Park which was incredibly packed. Having grown up out in that area, I definitely don't care about the fracking sites or the semis. I spent a couple days out by Peetz - which is similar type of area and saw plenty of antelope and yotes. The funny part about the National Grasslands is that it's not all federally owned - like it is in the mountains, it's checkered with private land

Power to you then, brother! I grew up in hoewhere Kansas so decided to go out there and check it out and show the wife what plains life is like. We did pretty much every road in Pawnee. I found one little tiny road that went up on a mound with a couple campsites looking over the plains that didn't have fracking sites or semis on it. Every other road had fracking sites on it and semis flying down them (my dad is a truck driver - nothing against them just not what I want to see when I'm looking to explore). Not really what I think of when I want to go out in nature. To each their own though.

    :D

Just trail clearing, no benches were made. We wasted our time fishing instead. I did want to go back and check on the status of the first bench we made, but ran out of time. I promise I'll post up when we can do a dedicated camping/wheeling/bench making trip.

Huge thanks to everybody that turned up for the Copper Kettle Toyota Truck Meet and Greet event, I hope you all had a great time! If you have any pictures or videos from the event please please tag me on Instagram @TacomaSSBuild, post them here or send them to me. Also be sure to tag the brewery and any vendors if you ended up being a raffle winner. That way when I set this up again next year hopefully I will be able to get some bigger and better raffle prizes for all of you. Thanks again!
