Thank you! It's a 2009. I really wanted the round headlights which changed over to the bug eyes in 2011. Had to search but found this 09 from a lawyer up in Memphis a few years back.

Nice Comp Werkes GP pipe

Same pipe that's on my Speed Triple. It's a loud bastard but soooo much better than the 50lbs of steel shite that came from the factory.

All of it up high on the bike too. Not great for the center of gravity. I still have the factory cans. Might weld all that crap together and make a boat anchor.

Bahahaha! That's a good idea. I have mine as well. No idea what to do with them. Apparently people buy them but dang the shipping would cost more than they are worth. I'm with you....boat anchor.

I still have the stock pipes from my Thruxton I'll need to dispose of. Not sure why anyone would buy them; they're heavy, restrictive and quiet. Probably worth more as scrap metal.

So ready for this week to end so I can get some saddle time on the new bike. I'm already looking for exhausts and tidy tails (Ducati puts the most ugly plate holders known to man on their bikes) and I just picked up a set of used OEM Ducati Scrambler Cafe bar end mirrors to replace the eyesore lollipop stalk mirrors. Modding. It. Never. Ends. :D

Stopped and looked at a Triumph T100 about a half mile from my house. Was hoping it was an older bike, but it was a 2015 and too much for a third bike.

Was riding home and almost got bit by a snake. Saw a huge snake in the road that looked dead. It recoiled back to strike as the bike got beside it. Had my foot handlebar high pretty quick. I'm sure the guy behind me was laughing.

Hey everyone. I'm looking for some feedback on pricing from current bike owners as I'm getting ready for a move from FL back up to NY and thinking about selling mine.

Looking to sell locally. Is asking $7k reasonable?

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
lmao. everyone starts somewhere. if they dont know what they're doing or have any friends who can help, i dont blame them.

Sharp looking bike man! Right now is definitely the time to sell. BUT, depending on what part of NY you're moving to, a bike might be a good thing to have. The market might also be stronger in NY if you do opt to take it with you and decide to sell it later.

I just sold my 2012 Triumph Thruxton, and it moved really fast. I think your 7k asking price is fair, but IMHO, leave yourself some wiggle room on your bottom price. Also check cycletrader and see what other Street Twins in your area are going for.

My bike was heavily (but tastefully) modified so the buyer was elated to get a bike he didn't need to dump another 5k into to get what he wanted. But some buyers want to use that as leverage to knock the price down. Good luck with your sale!

Thanks man! It's a combination of the headache of sorting out the logistics of the move and trying to find a permanent safe parking spot that has me thinking that selling now is probably best. I'll check out cycletrader.

I think there's an epidemic of riders who watch all these YT videos of riders freaking out if other drivers even slightly do the wrong thing, and chase them down and yell at them and all that garbage, and think it's "the thing" to do. I mean, if another driver intentionally does something to you, I get it, but most of the time it's someone who literally just didn't see you. I've even almost merged into a rider or something myself while driving my truck...it's just a human mistake, bikes can easily hide in blind spots.

Some of those vids on YouTube are cringe worthy no doubt. I pray those dudes wise up soon and no newbie rider thinks it's acceptable to behave or ride that way...

My $.02 - I think those riders that get irrationally upset from getting cut off probably started off as a holy sh!t moment/scared sh!tless emotional response that eventually morphed into a hulk-like rage with each additional close encounter.

I've had my fair share of close calls all over, from the Long Island expressway in NY to this sleepy little town Jupiter FL, and in general riding anywhere in NYC! One specific time comes to mind when I'm on my GSXR750 at a red light on Queens Blvd. This was definitely not my first time on a bike, but it was my very first 'new' bike purchase so I was trying to be super careful with her. I see this lady in her sedan behind me. She's looking down not paying attention and is creeping up closer to me. She eventually taps my rear wheel and I give her the angry WOT while honking my weak little gixxer horn lol. She looks at me like I'm the crazy one for revving my engine. Clearly she had no clue that she even hit me. I was angry at first and rode off upset, but I soon learned that every encounter I manage to ride away from is a damn good one. I'm the one that chooses to ride and as a result I just need to be a better rider if I want to stay safe.

It really sucks that the majority of US drivers think lane splitting is dangerous.

Ride safely and always stay alert!

i dont disagree in paying more attention than the rest of the idiots, but damn if they shouldnt learn any better either. i honestly think a lot of them just give the "i didnt do anything" look just like the guy in the truck did to me the other day. i was literally right next to his truck, he just didnt bother even looking
