    I know you have talked about this before and I know Innovate says if you are above a certain egt to install longer bungs. I wonder if people having these problems are because of high exhaust temp without the recommended o2 bung.
    I havent had any issues YET with either of my Innovate o2 sensors (dont know what brand they are) but I also have them plugged into machined/finned o2 bungs. This is also what I am putting in my equal length y-pipes to the few that are getting them. They are costly but less so than replacing o2 sensors.

    Those are slick. Heat sinks to keep goldy locks just right.

    The only time I really suggest running an extension bung is if you are running a turbocharged system. As for us who are running the o2 sensor post Y pipe, there should be no reason to run an extension bung if the sensor is designed to work properly, though I run it as a safeguard. I have burnt through 3 Bosch sensors and have burnt through 0 Denso sensors running the exact same setup I have this entire time. A true testament to the lack of quality which is Bosch for their sensors.

    Good info. I have the bungs right after the headers and I will continue to put them there. I will just use the bungs in the pic for safety and of course the bling factor.

    I've noticed the ones who blew holes out of or under their block were the ones who were revving their engine past the OE rev limiter. Those who have not have been able to run higher boost safely.

    Makes sense if the pistons are as weak as you have previously mentioned they are. You run something past it's mechanical limitations of course there will be an impending failure.

    Twig rods... I thought the stock internals on these motors had a pretty solid reputation for durability. Was he exceeding 400hp with that amount of boost?
