    Wow so what the actual fuck. I've been dealing with this single Uniball trapped in a Camburg UCA for like 3 weeks now. 12 ton press-nope. 20 ton press- nope. Put it back on the truck currently have ball join press cups attached with a bolt through the whole thing and its just laughing at me. I'm actually kindof scared its gonna snap the Ball join press cup or something as I keep cranking on it >_<. Don't currently have a torch I can take to it, but soaked it in PB blaster for about a week straight.

    That doesn't seem right. Have you tried contacting Camburg and see what's their take on it? If I remember correctly, you had a bolt fail previously? If it was you, maybe when the truck slammed to the ground the cup got out of round? Also, how rusty was the snap ring?

    Contacted Camburg, they said try to press it out. I inquired about just sending it to them so they can fix it so I don't damage it, they said that's an option as well. Bolt failed on LCA Adapter on the other side, I decide to replace uniballs and bolts on the other side that didn't need a CV boot replacement. Sigh. Snap ring was pretty rusty, ended up having to use a screw driver to pry it out while holding it with snap ring pliers.

    I'm gonna crank a little more on it. But I'm getting to the point where im gonna say F it and just ship it to Camburg and let it be their headache.

    i had to use a 20ton press, torch, and pb blaster to break mine out.

    Get some aero kroil and soak it overnight. It’s the best penatrant I’ve ever used. I’ve used it on huge bolts and bearing torqued to thousands of pounds and have been successful using it when half a dozen other brands wouldn’t get them to budge.

    huh. Well hope it works out. The low torqure from those gears is epic. I know im a 1st gen but god DAMN I love the 5.29s. Plus I added a blower and man...so damn fun now in the dirt.

    Lol that sucks.

    Why put on huge 37s to crawl the mall? Seems like a lot of money for tires..


    Well...im not gonna say hell no to that. LS would be sweet.

    Between you and @dirt addiction trucks..im not sure if I should pour the money into mine or just wait for one of you to sell and start saving :laugh:

    Ordered a 13OZ can. Will blow through the rest of the PB Blaster this week I guess and see if that does anything until the kroil shows up. We use the green can Kroil at work to lube valves with.

    Using heat is key, also maybe its slightly angled? You really want to press it out evenly. Might be worth a try to press it back in and then try uniformly pressing it back out making sure no side is being pushed out higher than the other.

    Heat really does help though

    Alright suspension question for the gurus out there. Not tacoma related but for a T4R. Getting ready to put the metaltech LT springs in on our 5th gen and am in the process of building adjustable links and panhard to be able to fine tune things with the added height and droop the springs will likely provide.

    As I do my research I am finding that some people's opinion is that just being able to adjust the panhard is sufficient while others believe that a panhard drop or lift bracket is better to keep the panhard as level as possible and reduce sway.

    So looking at joints last night I come accross the offset heims that Barnes4wd sells (http://www.barnes4wd.com/Offset-Heat-Treated-Chromoly-78-14-X-34-Heim-Joint-_p_696.html) and get to thinking that if I used an offset joint on each end of the panhard (one offset up and one offset down) I could essentially replicate a panhard drop and lift while also getting adjustability. The offset heims are about a 1" offset from the center axis so 1" offset down on the upper bracket and 1" offset up on the lower bracket and my panhard should be about where it needs to be for the ~2" of lift I should get with the springs.

    Am I missing something? Overthinking it?

    My doors are the only stock things left besides the headlights
    I don't think the offset hiems will help because your not changing the actual pivot locations, and those joints will put a bit more sheer force on the hem shank since that's what the Panhard is for( side to side axle force)

    Yeah the extra forces were one concern I had. However, compared to the factory panhard they still may be stronger with a 3/4" shank.

    i have lower links, 3" LT Metal Tech springs and i was able to dial in my droop locations better with the adjustable links. I still need to adjustable panhard as my axle when drooped out is slightly to the right because it needs to be extended a touch.

    Kroil..................don't know why, but it always comes in last in these online tests. Maybe that's because nothing at all is better than anything? I dunno......but there's a good chance Kroil ain't worth the extra you pay.

    I am with you there, but have come to the conclusion the dime-store variety of sprays is likely as good as the top-shelf products like Kroil. Who knows? Good to keep an open mind.

    If the Kroil doesn't work, I'd just send it in to Camburg if you can swing not having the arms for a bit, that way if they break something in the process of getting it out, they might cover it. I mean you've been using the right tool for the job and elbow grease and it's still not budging.
