Is it @4Running Daily that loves ADS?

I’m trying to see if they make a shock that will work with my Bamf relocation in the rear. I need a 2.0 by 12” travel shock

I just got a Bamf Mount for a Tacoma to mount a 2.5 double in the rear of my runner

Have you mocked this up yet? Been looking at their kit for second gen Tacoma’s in order to be able to do a 10” shock in mine
Any reason you aren’t going with king again?

Kind of just weighing my options. ADS is the only suspension I’ve never tried other than OME. I’ve ridden in a tundra with ADS and it felt just as good as kings. Heard great things and similar price point. Think I might be a little different this time.

Not yet. I’ll have it in hand in a week. It should work.

I'm not going to say it's not going to work, but it is not going to work without some serious modification, I looked into it before I did mine. I have a 1" BL and there isn't enough room for the tower to go up into the body, unless you plan on going through the body which will certainly work, on the taco it goes to the side of the bed.

Have any of you guys re-geared your 5th gen? This is my first auto in a looong time and the runner just feels... meh sometimes. It shifts at odd times from what i assume is a lack of power.

I am running 285/70R17's. I didn't think it would have this big of an impact.

Idk what it was, probably weight, but my 4runner felt weak on that size tire compared to the tacoma I had. Even before armor. My armored access cab felt like it had more get up than my non armored 5th gen with the same tires and everything.

I completely agree. I had a 130lb plate bumper, skids, heavier tires... I guess it didnt have all of the sheet metal on the back but still.

picking your guys brains on wheels.

    I'm between these:

And waiting to see if SR8s every come in that matte gray color (which I've heard might happen).

What do you guys think? Similar color scheme, just different wheel style.

For sure, yours is pretty much in the same spot as mine, just pointing out that the BAMF really wont work in the space on a 4R.
