@Darkgoatracer We decided we're going to do AOAA this saturday if you'd like to join us. I think it's $35 for the day.

I've always been an Alpine person but Kenwood has stepped up their game. Although Alpine is usually the last to hit the market with the latest and greatest it is usually much more refined.

Is Pioneer a player anymore? They were not always the most expensive but there was a time they were the one to beat.

Kinda but not really they are a price point radio and have some neat features but aren't as refined as Kenwood and Alpine IMO. They'll still work and are good radios but I wasn't impressed with what I have seen. Pioneer was the one to beat because they were everywhere and everyone knew about them. I wish Eclipse was still in business man when they hit the market back in the late 90s they really gave Alpine a run for their money in terms of refinement, features, quality, and ability.
I am just getting back into this stuff it's been like 15 yrs or so. So I am in research mode an going and looking at a bunch of different things. Listening to different speakers etc. The speaker world has blown up since I was into it and there are so many choices.

That alpine with the switch controller is on my mod list! I was a dealer for alpine back in 2005. There stuff as always been top notch.
