    My 5-lug SR5 v6 was $600.

    But it also came with no title and was pretty beat up. It also has almost 500k miles.

    I'd love to find a cheap, clean bodied 5lug to drop a V8 into :devil: :crapstorm:

    Just type in "narco corridos" into YouTube. Beware, after you are done, you may not be as smart as you used to before you watched the video.

    Don't listen to that out loud either. They will probably call Border Patrol to come take you away for questioning!

    Read all about it in my build thread. The last registered owner fell off the face of the planet and California said there was $1,500 in backfees on the original plate. No way I was getting it that way.

    I ended up registering it in the State of Vermont, on the completely opposite side of the country. It’s a little known loop hole to get a title for a vehicle you obtained without one. 100% legal and legit.

    What I would do is trade the Vermont papers in and act like it’s an out of state transfer. After that what they’ll do is issue me California plates and more importantly a California title in my name.

    It’s purely a cash grab for Vermont.

    @El Duderino

    Here's what happened exactly...

    I pulled up to a red light and I was in the center lane. To my left was a left-turn-only lane and to my right was a lane that went straight but went away, intended for turning right into the shopping center just ahead. This well-dressed office lackey in a late-model Hyundai pulled up on my right with all four windows down and I noticed out of the corner of my eye that he was looking at me and saying something. I had "Bat Out of Hell" turned up so loud that I couldn't hear him, and I was thinking that was either a road-rager or was about to bitch me out about my music, or both...

    This was unfortunately a long light, and it got awkward. I've actually used my stereo to ignore road-ragers in the past, and I wasn't about to turn it down. The light finally turned green, and this asshole (who ended up having New Jersey license plates), passes me and cuts me off.

    My favorite song is "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Great White...

    As for favorite artists, that's a tough one. I like classic rock, heavy metal, and country.

    My parents are more worried that I'm gonna get into a wreck as a result of playing my music too loud. I've gotten into one minor accident while playing my music loud (it was Springsteen), but I don't specifically attribute the accident to the volume of the music.

    As far as I’m concerned as long as you can hear emergency vehicles at a decent distance so they don’t sneak up on you is fine. Except at night neighborhoods and red lights lol

    But Bob Segar, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Neil Young can be rocked as loud as possible.

    @El Duderino

    One time a couple years ago, I was driving to a car show about an hour from my house, and I was listening to Tom Petty on my iPod. I was in the left lane and the right lane had more traffic. All of a sudden, this young guy with a beard in a late model Nissan Altima roars up behind me and starts riding my ass. Annoyed by his tailgating and unable to get over, I brake-check him and think nothing of it.

    Seconds later, I stopped a red light and Mr. Altima pulled up next to me. He glares over at me, rolls down his window, and starts yelling "You got a problem?!?!" I glance over at him, turn up the Petty, and find my happy place. A minute or later, I realize this dickhead is still there yelling at me. Finally, the light turns green, he cuts in front of me, and proceeds to tailgate two or three more vehicles before making a left turn...

    South Texas is full of retarded drivers. One time, a Camaro missed an exit on the freeway, and this idiot puts his car in reverse and backs up into the exit that he missed instead of getting off at the next exit.
